Put it in the cloud.

I just saw an ad for Adobe Creative Cloud Pro. I know it's the big-fashioned statement to have your own cloud that's mixed with everyone else's clouds. Let's make sure we don't stop and think about security. 🙄

I tried all the products when they first came out. I separated the important from the unimportant on my computer and put the unimportant on the cloud. I was even in the study group and one of the beta testers for Google Docs. It is all fine if the docs you're talking about are someone else's data.

First and foremost, the cloud is not just one. They call it that specifically for the simple-minded people. They did the same thing with the blockchain. You can do that. If the conversation is Bitcoin and you say the words the blockchain, it is a short way of saying "the Bitcoin blockchain."

The reality is that thousands of people created thousands of crypto tokens, and each one of them has its own blockchain, comma, ring signature scheme, comma, or what have you.

And each company, of the hundreds that have cloud systems, has their own cloud scheme and its own security to protect your data if they would even care to protect it.

At least blockchain is public, meaning everyone can see every transaction. But with cloud services, I liken it to the idea of going to a company and stripping down to my underwear, handing them my purse, wallet, rings, watch, car keys, everything I own and I walk out naked.

If I ever want to see my watch I can just call it up off the cloud. So can anyone else who works at that particular cloud service company. But wait, there's more! If they ever shut their doors, then I have nothing.
