The Diary Game: Sunday, 19th July 2026 - A Slow and Blessed Day

in #the2 days ago

Hello guys
Today was Sunday, and it turned out to be a very slow but blessed day for me. I want to share how I spent my day with you all.

I woke up quite late, around a few minutes past 7am. Honestly, I was still feeling drowsy because I slept very late last night. I wasn’t doing anything serious, I just stayed up watching things on my phone and before I knew it, the night had gone.

When I opened my eyes this morning, my body was really begging me to stay in bed. I felt lazy and tired, but I remembered it was Sunday and I had church. The church I attend has both Sunday school and morning service, so I knew if I didn’t hurry, I would be late.

I dragged myself out of bed and started my normal morning routine. Today I couldn’t fetch water because of time. I told myself I would do it later in the evening when I come back. I washed some plates, swept the compound, and my sister was around so she helped me with a few things too. Having someone to help made the work faster and lighter.

After tidying up, I went to take my bath and got ready for church. Even with all the rushing, I still got to church a few minutes after 9am. As soon as I entered, my teacher in the teenagers' department noticed me and asked why I was late. I apologized and quickly took my seat.

The service was good and I was learning a lot. But I won’t lie, at some point I started feeling sleepy again. My teacher was on the floor teaching, and when she noticed that I was closing my eyes and about to doze off, she quickly called my name to wake me up. It was a bit embarrassing, but I know she did it because it’s not good to sleep when they are teaching on Sunday. I sat up properly after that and paid more attention.

After church, I came straight home and had lunch. I decided to rest for a while because my body was still tired from the short sleep the previous night. A few minutes later, my mom called me. She sells recharge cards sometimes and she needed one for her phone. So I went out to get it for her. After getting the card, I came back home and rested again for som

e time.

In the evening, I remembered I still hadn’t fetched water. But there was another problem - we didn’t have electricity. And to make it worse, our gas had finished. So I had to bring out the charcoal stove. Around 5:05pm I started setting it up and began preparing dinner. Cooking with charcoal stove always takes time and patience, but I had no other option. I had to be careful with the fire and make sure the food was well done.

Cooking took a while, but I managed. By a few minutes past 8pm, I was finally done. I served my food, ate, took my bath, and now I’m here relaxing and updating you all about my day before I sleep.

It wasn’t a perfect day. I woke up late, went to church late, and had to stress with charcoal and no light. But I’m grateful I was able to go to church, help my mom, and take care of things at home.

Thank you for reading to the end. I appreciate you all.
Bye for now .
