Technology and humans
In the last few years I have observed that technology is moving at a much faster pace then we humans. We ourselves are developing technology but are we in the bargain forgetting to develop our own- selves. We are creating weapons using technologies that can cause mass destruction, but we are not building weapons that can strengthen humanity. And there possibly will be a day when technology will have more power then humans, even though it is created by us humans only with human intelligence and still we may not have control over it.
Artificial Intelligence is getting intelligent day by day, but what about human intelligence, is it also equally important that human intelligence also keeps upgrading. I would not want machines to take over my life and command me on what to do and what not to do. I do not have anything against technology, I use it in my day to day life all the time, but I do not want to be so dependent on it that without it I struggle to operate. When I was making my new home, my architect suggested that I get everything automated in the home, including the door lock and the light and fan switches.
Nothing wrong in it, but somehow I did not like the idea, of becoming so dependent on it. I would like to get up and switch on and off the switches whenever I want, these are simple things, not to be even mentioned, but to look at it, how enslaved we get to it. It looks fancy but it takes away our ability to do these little things that keep our brain active. I use AI these days to plan my holidays, but trust me sometimes it confuses me more then giving me simple solutions.
The new age wars are all technology powered and can create a dramatic destruction. Imagine what has taken decades to build will get destroyed in seconds with just one boom. It's all good till it's in control.
