Hello Dear Steemit Team,

I am submitting my solo application for Steemit Challenge Season 32 with a creative and accessible concept designed to make participants observe the world differently.

STEEM SIGNALS is a visual discovery challenge based on hidden signs, accidental messages, strange details, shadows, reflections, symbols, and visual clues found in real life.

The main idea is simple:

Every place is sending signals. Most people pass by without noticing them. This challenge asks Steemians to stop, observe, capture, and explain them.

Participants will use their smartphones to photograph or film small details from their surroundings and turn them into meaningful stories. Each entry will combine visual observation, personal interpretation, SteemAtlas location, and community interaction.

Challenge Concept

STEEM SIGNALS invites participants to find hidden visual messages in everyday life.

A signal can be:

a strange shadow
an accidental message on a wall
a symbolic object
a reflection
a repeated pattern
a visual coincidence
a hidden emotion in a place
a small detail that tells a bigger story

The challenge does not require professional equipment. A smartphone is enough.

The goal is to encourage creativity, observation, storytelling, and interaction between participants.

Mandatory Platform

SteemAtlas is mandatory.

Each participant must pin the exact public location where the signal was discovered.

This will allow the season to build a global map of hidden signs from different countries, cultures, cities, villages, and communities.

Participants may also include a short video if they want, but the main requirement is at least one original photo.

Challenge Format

Each week, two posts will be published by the host:

Post 1: Weekly challenge announcement with the theme, examples, rules, visual direction, and deadline.
Post 2: Weekly results post announcing the five best entries, honourable mentions, and the most interesting community interpretations.

Each participant’s entry must include:

One original photo or short video
A SteemAtlas pin
A short explanation between 150 and 400 words
The story behind the signal
Why the detail attracted their attention
At least one question for readers
Comments on at least two other participants’ posts

Community Interaction System

The strength of this challenge is not only the image, but also the interpretation.

Every participant must comment on at least two other entries each week.

Each comment should include:

What signal they noticed first
Their interpretation of the image
One question to the author

This creates natural discussion because the same image can have many different meanings.

The objectives of STEEM SIGNALS are:

Encourage Steemians to observe their environment more deeply
Promote original photography and visual storytelling
Build a global SteemAtlas map of creative discoveries
Make the challenge accessible to users from all countries
Create strong comment interaction through interpretation
Help participants improve composition, attention to detail, and creative writing
Show that powerful content can come from ordinary places

Rules for Participation

Content Rules

Original photos or videos only
No plagiarism
No AI-generated images as main entries
No stolen media
No copied descriptions
The signal must be found in real life

Technical Rules

SteemAtlas pin is mandatory
At least one original photo is required
Short videos are optional
Text must be between 150 and 400 words
The weekly theme must be respected
Late entries will not be accepted

Safety and Privacy Rules

Do not photograph private homes directly
Do not expose faces of strangers without consent
Do not show sensitive personal information
Do not enter dangerous or forbidden places
Public and safe locations only

Engagement Rules

Comment on at least two other entries
Each comment must include an interpretation and a question
Meaningful comments will be considered in the final score

Why This Challenge Can Work Well

STEEM SIGNALS is easy to join, but difficult to master.

Anyone can participate with a simple smartphone, but the best posts will come from people who observe carefully and think creatively.

The challenge also creates natural engagement because every image invites different interpretations. Participants will not only post their own entries, but also explore, comment, guess, and discuss the meaning of other people’s discoveries.
