Last wish

A person was sentenced to death. In his last wish, he asked for a pencil and paper. After writing for a while, he called the jail guard, gave him a letter, and said, "Give this to my mother."

The letter read:
"Mom,
If there was justice, both of us would be punished. It's not just me; the life I have lived has affected you too.

Do you remember when I stole that boy's bicycle and brought it home?

You helped me hide the bicycle so that Dad wouldn’t find out.

Do you remember when I stole our neighbor's wallet?

You went with me to the shopping mall and spent that money.

Do you remember the day when you had a fight with Dad and he left the house?

He only wanted to correct me. I had secretly taken the final results of my course, which is why I was expelled from school.

Mom, at that time I was a child. As I grew up, I became a bad person, and today I am someone whose upbringing was not right.

Mom, I didn’t need punishment; I needed guidance and reform. But despite all this, I forgive you, Mom.

I just have one request: If this letter reaches anyone, let them know that the greatest thing in shaping a person’s character and education is the upbringing they receive.
