Let's Trust the Science Already.
You know, after all that talk about trusting the science back in 2020, we need to start doing that actual thing. Let's do a little bit of science, then trust that science, and then move on from there.
What do I mean? I mean let's take anything related to health, look at the extreme left and right of opinion on that thing, have a debate, prove or disprove the assertions made by each side and then trust the side that had the most scientifically proven points during the debate.

Instead of doing the above and attempting to get every American on the same side behind Truth, Justice and The American Way (Superman quote, I believe), everyone is heading to their own corner to defend their preferred rumor (to the death). Why?
It seems that nobody is interested in finding out if they were lied to or if someone mislead them with a false document. War of the gullibles is what htis is, and it is the perfect environment for the declassification of damning documents. Perfect for the life long pedo, cannibal or satanist. Those people have hoards of gullibles that will be outside their courtrooms while they are on trial. They will be flipping police cars and breaking store windows. I say that because once one picks a side, then they are committed to defending their choice. Those same people will tell you that their numbers makes their 'reality' the right one. I digress.
Debates are not settled by who has the most people who believe in this person or that conspiracy. They are won by facts. Whoever has the larger pile of credible, proven facts wins. And the debate can always be opened back up as new information comes out.
I got off topic a bit but people fighting for their chosen reality in politics, finance, flat or globe, pharma or natural, etc. has everyone ready for a fight at all times and they have their selected team that they will always defend. Then something important comes up, like the harm of children, and everyone is so distracted (with decision already made an brain disengaged).
Social media is great, but the town hall meetings was where debate was always in the air. People who disagreed went to the same building and things got done.
I say all sides come together and figure out what reality is. The answer is debate and even science if necessary.
Take Cancer for example.
One side says that Cancer is a growth of cells that have gone rogue and no longer reproduce normally. Treatment: Chemo and radiation
The other side says that Cancer is parasites that wall themselves off to avoid the immune system. Treatment: Parasite cleansing.
The first one would work if the second one is true, but that is a pretty deadly parasite cleanse. But if one were to gain access to Cancer surgery - with permission of course - then take the tumors to a lab and open them up. That would prove to be true or false. Hospitals do not like their science to be challenged though. Must keep trying.
Pick a topic, name the sides, get the facts, debate, and come together.
As far as politics goes, I vote for the one that I like the best - it is never about party. When I express concern over something my pick has done, people will say, "You have jumped ship!" But I tell them, "I was never on a ship." I practice what I preach and let the pile of negatives build up while constantly comparing it to the pile of negatives of the other guy. That's it.
It is they who are on a ship and unwilling to look at its condition. That puts them in a risky position if the ship sinks.
