Cerro Castillo

Cerro Castillo is a recently formed National Park (Reserve) in Patagonia Chile. It is a gorgeous place for hiking and spending time in the mountains. Route 7 goes through the park and there are frequent places to pull off along the road to view wildlife, mountains, trees, and waterfalls.

This weekend I had the chance to drive over to the park during the afternoon. It had been raining all day, but as is common in Patagonia you're always likely to get some sun and clear patches of sky mixed in with the rain and clouds
