The Handsome Monster wanted a ball that they sometimes insert somewhere. It is considered to be a fairly odd suggestion, to my dad, but not to the Monster, who thinks it was wonderous. You wouldnt have thought, a ball would be the thing that was chosen.

The Handsome Monster had a sword that they would often sleep with. This seems to be a curious approach to life, to you, but not to the Monster, who considered that this idea is wonderous. Honestly, a sword is the item to choose.
