The conflict between beauty and reality
Kuchuripana is a very well-known floating plant in the water bodies of our country. Its green leaves and light purple flowers fill nature with a unique beauty. In a peaceful environment like the picture, the flowers of Kuchuripana are like a living example of natural art. The flowers usually bloom in clusters and each flower petal has a delicate design, which easily attracts the viewer's mind.
However, behind this beauty, there are some real problems. Kuchuripana propagates very quickly and forms a thick layer on the water bodies. As a result, the normal flow of water is obstructed, sunlight cannot reach the bottom and there is a lack of oxygen for aquatic animals. It also has a negative impact on agriculture, fisheries and navigation. Nevertheless, Kuchuripana also has some benefits. It can absorb pollutants from water and in some cases is used to make organic fertilizers or handicrafts. With proper management, it is possible to convert this plant into wealth.
