Concerto di Rema IT- ENG

Il 14 giugno sono andato al concerto di Rema al Fabrique, un cantante nigeriano che fa genere afrobeat. Per capirci, quello che ha cantato Calm Down.
Questa è la seconda volta che viene in Italia, era già venuto 3 anni prima a Brescia, però per il tour di Rave & Roses, il suo primo album.
Il concerto è iniziato molto tardi, alle 21:30, ma io sono arrivato alle 22:30 perché odio fare la fila, infatti all’entrata non c’era nessuno e sono entrato subito.
Entrato nella sala sentivo già le vibes che trasmetteva il cantante.
Rema mi ha rallegrato un po’ il periodo no che stavo passando, è arrivata l’estate e io mi trovo chiuso in 4 mura a lavorare per conto di persone che passano tutto il tempo al mare o in viaggio. Grazie a lui sono riuscito ad alleviare lo stress da lavoro, sapevo che mi avrebbe fatto bene andare al suo concerto.
La cosa brutta è che faceva molto caldo dentro la sala, sarebbe stato meglio se lo avessero fatto all’aperto, sono dovuto uscire almeno 7/8 volte per prendere un po’ di aria fresca perché dentro si soffocava.
Dopo la bellissima performance c’era il suo after party al RedRoom di Milano e grazie ai miei agganci sono riuscito ad avere un invito alla festa.
Dopo il concerto sono rimasto un po’ fuori a fare 2 chiacchiere con dei conoscenti. Arrivato al RedRoom sono riuscito a farmi dare un bracciale per il privé dove c’era il cantante, insieme a degli amici abbiamo continuato a ballare e a divertirci. Rema è rimasto pochissimo perché c’erano molte persone che gli chiedevano le foto.
La vita d’artista non dev’essere facile…
Meno male che non sono un tipo che chiede foto a personaggi famosi, mi capita spesso di trovarmi in locali a Milano con personaggi famosi e non mi sono mai permesso di andare a chiedergli foto. Alla fine anche loro vengono per divertirsi e in questi posti bisogna mantenere un contegno perché anche loro sono lì per divertirsi con i loro amici.
È stata una bellissima esperienza, ora penso che andrò più spesso ai concerti dei cantanti che mi piacciono.

On June 14th, I went to Rema’s concert at the Fabrique, a Nigerian singer known for the afrobeat genre. To be clear, he’s the one who sang Calm Down.
This was the second time he came to Italy — he had already been here 3 years ago in Brescia, back then for the Rave & Roses tour, his first album.
The concert officially started pretty late, around 9:30 PM, but I got there at 10:30 PM because I hate waiting in line. In fact, there was no one at the entrance and I walked right in.
As soon as I entered the venue, I could already feel the vibes the artist was putting out.
Rema really helped lift my mood during a rough patch I was going through. Summer had started, and there I was, stuck inside four walls working for people who spend all their time at the beach or traveling. Thanks to him, I was able to relieve some of the work stress — I knew going to his concert would do me good.
The downside was that it was really hot inside the venue. It would’ve been much better if it had been held outdoors. I had to step out at least 7 or 8 times just to get some fresh air — it was suffocating in there.
After the amazing performance, there was an after party at the RedRoom in Milan, and thanks to some connections, I managed to get an invite.
After the concert, I hung out outside for a bit chatting with some acquaintances. When I got to the RedRoom, I managed to get a wristband for the private area where the artist was. Together with some friends, we kept dancing and having fun. Rema didn’t stay long though — there were a lot of people asking him for pictures.
The artist life can’t be easy…
I’m not the kind of person who asks celebrities for pictures. I often find myself in clubs in Milan with famous people, but I’ve never gone up to ask for a photo. In the end, they’re just there to have fun too, and in those places, I think you need to keep your composure — they’re just enjoying themselves with their friends like everyone else.
It was a really great experience. I think I’ll start going to more concerts of the artists I like.
