"WATCH AND PRAY, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 26:41 (NKJV)

There are things that can make a minister fail in the ministry work.
Lacking in the understanding of purpose or vision, love of money, pride, inordinate affection, and a number of other things.
Knowing God's will or plan for your life is the most important thing in life and ministry.
A believer or minister should not always think of what he or she will get or gain, but think of pleasing God—doing His will.

I. Understanding of purpose or vision is one of the things that could make a leader, the visionary, fail.
The foundational aim of anyone assigned for a particular purpose should mainly be about understanding the vision—the purpose of being assigned or called by God.
After the vision is well understood, there should be a willingness to pay whatever price that may be required to get the vision accomplished or fulfilled.
Your willingness or readiness to sacrifice for your vision shows the authentication of it. You must be willing to pay the necessary price for whatever you do believe God is calling you to do.
Some do not want to sacrifice anything to obey God, do whatever He instructed them to do. If what you claimed God is asking you to do does not cost you anything; It means the vision is not valuable and does not worth it, and It probably was not from God.
Obedience to God's instructions will cost you something and it could be painful. Though, the obedience might be costly and painful, but there is always a joy in obeying—in the doing of God's Will.
Whatever you call a God-given vision should worth dying for and living for. If your vision does not worth dying for, it is probably not from God.

II. Love of money could also be a reason for a leader's failure, inability to fulfill a vision (1 Timothy 3:3)
Love of money is one of the things listed that a prospective minister should not have; he should not be greedy for money nor be covetous (1 Timothy 3:3). The same injunction is found in Titus 1:7: "FOR A BISHOP MUST . . . NOT GREEDY FOR MONEY" (Titus 1:7).
READ: 1 Timothy 6:9-11
A greedy person can lose the anointing of God on his or her life. The Bible admonishes a leader not to take bribe because It could make them blind and distorted things and perverted justice (Deuteronomy 16:19).

III. Pride is another important thing that could make a leader fail.
Pride could place a limit on your life and whatever you are assigned to do—the ministry assignment.
Pride hinders from the fulfillment of purpose in life. Pride leads to a downfall and destruction (Proverbs 16:18).
When you allowed pride, it keeps you away from God—He knows a proud person afar (Psalm 138:6).
READ: James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5

IV. Inordinate affection, engaging in illicit affairs (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7).
This sin quickly destroys a minister and drains the anointing on the person.
This sin gives room to the devil to do a lot of terrible things in the life of a believer or a minister who gets involved in it.
The admonition is, you should put your hand in it. Even if you think God would forgive you If you are found in it but the consequences would always be there.

You will not fail in Jesus' name.
• Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare your healing in Jesus' precious name.
• The hold is completely broken and the affliction will not rise the second time in Jesus' mighty name.
Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).

b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
