A weekend manual.

A weekend manual.

Manuals are, in principle, a useful thing, but they're often forgotten before actually starting.

No, I'm not talking about you; you don't do that. I'm sure I'm talking about myself, first and foremost. There have been times, for example, when I started installing and starting up a washing machine without even picking up the brochure, which lays everything out step by step, taking safety precautions into account.

But oh well, that's all clear. The manual for my Renault has been sitting in the glove compartment since I bought it, and I've only glanced at it once... out of boredom.

Essentially, there are instructions for everything. Even where you're employed, you're familiar with two instructions: a job description and an occupational safety manual. One outlines your duties and rights, while the other obliges you to protect your work by following these instructions, and supposedly, by doing so, you're protecting yourself, but no one is protecting you.

There are instructions for training dogs, for growing plants, for any kind of activity, except for leisure!

Yes, essentially, there are no instructions at all for the weekend, and if there were, this beetle would have thought ten times that there was nothing higher than this flower and now he'd have to go back down again, even though he spent half a day climbing up there.

Without clear instructions, the weekend becomes a veritable juicer, meant to squeeze the maximum amount of juice out of these two short days, and weekends, as a rule, are always longer than workdays.

But, in fact, such instructions exist, and they are designed to make these days as fulfilling and fruitful for our development as possible. However, these instructions can be difficult to follow, as they were given to us many centuries ago by God, who calls us to honor the Sabbath and rest on Sunday.

But even these simple instructions are simply necessary, especially if you're not a Saturday person and you dedicate your Sunday to God, and Saturday is a smooth transition from the workweek to the weekend.

Every time I set myself the task of following these instructions, something inevitably goes wrong.
