Today's Writing, Tomorrow's Memories: The Personal Diary

Every day of our lives is like a new page. However, the stories of the days filled with the atmosphere of festivals remain forever in the mind. Since today is the day before the holy Eid al-Adha, there is a different kind of busyness and joy all around. Today, I am going to share with you the story of such a wonderful, realistic, and memorable day, which is surrounded by joy, social reality, and family tradition at the same time.

The Personal Diary: The day before my Eid

This morning began with a different plan. This year, I could not participate in Qurbani directly because I did not have the means to offer it. However, the joy of Eid does not stop! Due to my busy schedule, I had not been to the cattle market much this year, so I thought I would visit the market near me in the Kalshi area of Dhaka today. It was quite nice to go to the market in the morning and see all the huge cows, the overflowing crowd of people, and the hustle and bustle of buying and selling.

On my way back from the market, I bought beef worth 1,000 taka for Eid from the local market (Manikadi Bazar). When I went to the market, I noticed one thing that made me feel bad. I saw many of those who could not sacrifice for Eid; some were chickens, while others were trying to buy beef as much as they could afford. But the sad thing is that the vendors in the market were unnecessarily charging a lot for meat on this special day, which I found very bad. In other countries of the world, the prices of goods decrease during festivals, but some people in our country become so opportunistic that they do not hesitate to cut into the pockets of ordinary people. Apart from this experience, the rest of the time at the market was spent well.

When the sun subsided in the afternoon and the weather became a little milder, I went out for a walk with my little daughter. The joy of children during festivals is our real happiness. The first thing I did when I went out was buy her favorite chocolate. The innocent smile on her face after receiving the chocolate instantly removed all my fatigue and the sad feeling of the market.

All the tempting chocolates and food items for kids

Many people were selling goats in the market, and Muntaha became very curious to see the goats. She went near the goats and spent some time playing with them. It is really wonderful to see this innocent love of small children for animals. Alhamdulillah, no matter what the ability, this afternoon spent with my daughter was very good and meaningful to me.

A wonderful afternoon spent together by father and daughter

In the evening, my wife gave mehendi to my daughter. I went out to the market for some shopping; the shops were crowded. From the shop, I bought some essentials for semai, fuchka, and chatpati and went home. InshaAllah, we will make and eat chatpati at home.

In our Bangladesh, on the day of Eid al-Adha, many people have a great tradition of eating warm, soft bread made of rice powder with meat. Many people love to eat it very much, and our family is no exception.

In this regard, as a special preparation for the day before Eid, my wife sat in the kitchen making bread with rice powder since before Eshar prayers. When the familiar aroma of rice flour bread was coming from the kitchen, it felt like—yes, Eid has really arrived! This difficult preparation until late at night is mainly to bring a smile to our faces on Eid morning.

Since my wife made hot rice flour roti, our dinner today was soft rice flour roti with beef and tea (Alhamdulillah)! Below is a price list of what I bought from the market today.

Wonderful arrangement, our dinner tonight

Today was full of busyness, harsh market realities, the children's happiness, and preparations for the festival. Even though I could not offer the sacrifice myself this year, the effort to bring a smile to the faces of my family and the Eid atmosphere around me gave me a strange mental satisfaction. What I wrote today in this diary page, if I read it at some idle time in the future, I will be able to feel the joy of this previous night of Eid and the real picture of life again. I hope that everyone has a good Eid and that Allah Almighty accepts everyone's sacrifice, and I wish everyone a happy Eid EID MUBARAK 🙂🙂

My observation you have not applied enough markdown in your post to make it presentable and interesting .Atleast apply more than 1 markdown .
