I am going to review a famous mosque of Harappa, which is located in our village. Its name is Jamia Masjid. It is a very old mosque. Since childhood, I have seen this mosque in two types of designs. First of all, when this mosque was built, it was single-story. At that time, I was about six to seven years old. During this time, not much renovation was done here. There was neither a dome on this mosque nor a minaret. There was a simple one-room and a veranda in front of it. It was a very small mosque, but as time passed, this mosque was made more beautiful.
This mosque has been rebuilt in the last eight to ten years. The first mosque was demolished, and this one was prepared. Every good thing that is very popular in our area has been used for the construction and expansion of this mosque because this mosque is the house of Allah, where all Muslims worship, so every kind of good thing has been used in its construction and expansion. Every kind of stone tile has been used, and its structure has been made of the best quality.

In the first picture, you can see its exterior, where you are looking at the mosque from the street, and you can see its door, through which we enter the mosque.
The mosque is built in an open area. After entering the mosque through the door, you can see the view of this mosque, which is the most beautiful. Its exterior has been prepared using fine tile and stone. From here, you cannot see the dome; only the minaret is visible because the height of this minaret is about 60 feet.

Just as the exterior of this mosque is beautiful, its interior has also been made with heart and soul, and every single thing has been made with the utmost care. You can see the interior of this mosque below, which is in excellent condition. Red carpets have been laid downstairs, stones have been placed around, and a ceiling has also been made upstairs, and every single thing has been made in a perfect manner. In the interior of the mosque, you can see a pulpit in the middle where the reciter sits and delivers the Friday sermon and gives speeches. Even if there is a gathering, he sits here and makes other people benefit from various types of knowledge. This is the pulpit where the Muezzin also stands and gives the call to prayer, and here the reciter stands and leads the congregation in prayer. This is also beautifully designed, in which white and blue tiles have been used, and a speaker has been placed here, in which the call to prayer is given five times a day, and the pulpit is covered with a cloth so that even if dust falls on it.
You can see the interior of the mosque, which is very beautiful. Chandeliers are installed in three places. Sometimes they are turned on when all the people are sitting here. In the video below, you can see that its side windows are also made in the same routine. Beautiful curtains are hung in front of them. Timepieces have been used in places to ensure the five daily prayers.
If I tell you the history of the chandelier, this chandelier is very beautiful. It has different types of lighting inside it, and this chandelier is hung with a dome, which is on the third floor. From there, it is tied and taken down to the first floor, which is a mark of its own beauty. You can also see the beauty of the dome from below. It has been decorated with small glass tiles.

Two large cabinets have been built in two places in the mosque, and four small cabinets have been built in four places. These cabinets have been built to keep all the Qurans safe and to keep them closed from above so that these Islamic books, especially the Quran, can be protected from dust. This is very beneficial. All the people take the Quran from here and benefit from it, and after reading it, they cover it respectfully in this cabinet.
Special wood has been used to make these cabinets, which look beautiful. More Quran holders have also been made here, which are made of iron and are strong, on which you can place the Quran and sit next to it and read the Quran. This is for all those people who recite the Quran here. Moreover, for the elderly and sick people, chairs have been placed in this mosque so that those who cannot pray standing up can pray sitting down. This is the best facility here, which is given to every person who comes here with a disability or an old age condition.
A large timepiece has been installed in the middle of the mosque. The times of all five daily prayers are written on this timepiece. Its time is running on top, and a scroller is running below, on which all information is given. Which month is it, which day is it, which date is it, and at what time does the time of each prayer start and end? All those details can be seen on this digital clock.

As I told you, the mosque has been built in a large area, where you have seen the interior, it is quite open, and a large number of people can offer prayers here. Similarly, after this interior, there is a veranda of four rows, which is open on all four sides. On one side is the interior, and on the other three are open. It is open and airy. Fans are installed inside it. There is a very good arrangement of lighting. A small digital clock has also been installed here. This place is used when it is not too cold and not too hot. When the weather is moderate, then prayers are offered here.
Here too, the ceiling has been made beautiful, where the fans are hanging, a beautiful design has been made with glass. This is the same design that has been made inside the dome, which is to increase its beauty, and large speakers have been installed on the walls, which is to convey the voice of the Imam to all the people during rush hours.

It has a courtyard consisting of eight to nine rows. Fans are installed in the courtyard, and lighting is arranged. It is an open-air courtyard. When it is very hot, and it is difficult to pray sitting inside, then prayers are offered from here. Especially the Maghrib and Isha prayers are offered here. This is also an open courtyard. About 400 people can pray here at a time.
The special thing about this courtyard is that fans are hung here through stands so that it is easy for all the worshippers who come and pray, and they can sit and pray in a peaceful environment.

If we talk about the additional facilities of this mosque, then a beautiful ablution room has been built here, which provides the facility of performing ablution for about 30 people at the same time. There are verses written on the walls here, which are of great importance for ablution, and beautiful stones have been placed here. Chairs have been made in front of all the taps so that one can perform ablution sitting comfortably.
Similarly, there is a washroom facility available here. There are 10 washrooms and three bathrooms where you can fulfill your needs. Separate bathrooms have been made for bathing. You can also take a bath there. A water heater has also been arranged here to provide hot water in the winter season. This is one of the biggest facilities here. In the winter season, all the worshippers perform ablution with hot water and offer prayers with ease.

I told you that this mosque has been renovated, so when this topic was redeveloped, during this time, stands were also placed here on which the worshipers keep their shoes. In this way, the shoes are placed one by one in an orderly manner, and they also remain safe if someone comes from outside. And here, there is also shade, the shoes do not get hot, and there is also space left in front of them to park bicycles. These bicycles are the bicycles that children come here to offer prayers or to recite the Quran. Those who memorize the Holy Quran park their bicycles here.

Jamia Masjid Harappa reflects the journey of progress and community development. This mosque has been built in a new design in which the people have cooperated a lot. They have built the most modern mosque with high-quality stones, tiles, and a detailed design in which a dome has been added, a 60-foot minaret has been built, a chandelier, and the best facilities of the proposed prayer place have been organized, such as an ablution area, a washroom, a heating system, and many other places.
Overall, this mosque teaches us that it is not just a building, but a great example of the development, unity, and spiritual growth of our village. It shows how a simple place of worship can be transformed into a well-developed and beautiful structure through collective care.
This mosque is a double-story mosque. Just like its interior downstairs, it has been prepared on its second floor as well. According to an estimate, about 2000 people can pray here at the same time. There is as much space upstairs as downstairs. It is a very spacious mosque in a small village, in which people from the surrounding areas also gather. On Friday, this mosque is especially full. It is full of worshipers. On Friday, people have a day off, so all the people offer Friday prayers in this mosque with great devotion.

As a curious explorer, when I visited this mosque, when I took my first step into it, I felt a place where faith, community, and time come together.
When I entered the main gate of this mosque, I felt a sense of peace. Despite being a very large and well-built structure, its atmosphere felt very pleasant. When I tried to move forward in its courtyard, I felt an openness, a freshness, in which light is allowed to flow freely and creates a calm atmosphere.
As soon as I entered, the interior caught my attention, with the tiled walls, red carpets, and beautiful design of the ceilings reflecting the love of this place. I was surprised to see the chandelier hanging from the dome. It is not just a decoration, but a perfect example of devotion and beauty. The curtained windows, the Quranic cabinets, all of them speak of this respect.

I was very surprised in this mosque that every little person has been provided with a great facility. As I mentioned above, chairs have been provided for the elderly and the disabled. And a proper place to keep shoes will be made. This reflects kindness.
This place is not just for praying but also for gathering, learning, and is a great center of unity where people come to spend peaceful moments away from the stresses of daily life. Overall, it is meaningful.
