SLC-S31/W6-“Creative Interpretation| The Concept -Becoming”
At the corner of crowded city there was a narrow rooftop. A young boy spent most evenings there. He used to watch birds disappearing into sunset. In imaginations he flew away from the fear and expectations like birds. People knew him as quiet and invisible. Whenever he spoke about his dreams others laughed. He slowly began shrinking himself to limits.
One evening during a storm the he climbed to rooftop again. The city lights flickered in the rain. In light flash he noticed his shadow larger than him.
For the first time he realized his greatest battle was not against the world. It was the fear living inside him.
The days turned into months. He started speaking confidently. He started taking risks and learning from the failures. The transformation was slow and painful. Some people mocked him. Sometimes he questioned whether growth was worth the loneliness which it brought for him.
But slowly he stopped chasing approval. He started chasing purpose.
One morning he returned to rooftop after many years. The city had not changed much. He noticed he had changed. This time the sunlight touched the ground. His shadow did not stay ahead of him. It walked beside him.
What Transformation Is Taking Place in My Interpretation?
The transformation in my interpretation is the journey from self doubt to self acceptance. The boy is not becoming rich. He is not becoming famous is powerful. But he is becoming comfortable with his true identity. He is learning to believe in himself instead of criticism and fear.
His transformation is emotional and psychological. He changes from someone controlled by insecurity to a person guided by the purpose and confidence.
What Challenges Appear During This Process?
This biggest challenge which he faced is internal fear. The boy struggles with insecurity. He struggles with the fear of failure. He struggles because of the pressure of the judgement of other people.
Another big challenge is loneliness. The growth often changes the relationships. Some people feel uncomfortable. It happens when they see something is evolving. The boy experiences the distance from those who once understood him.
The process is also painful. Because becoming requires leaving behind old habits. It requires leaving the old thinkings. Sometimes it requires leaving an old version of yourself.
How Does Your Piece Connect to Your Personal Growth or Vision?
The deeply connects to my personal vision. We know growth is something every person experienced silently. Many people appear calm from outside. But internally they are fighting with fear, uncertainty and pressure.
I believe becoming is not a single moment of success. But it is a continuous process of learning. It is a process of failing and growing stronger. My interpretation reflects the idea that true transformation begins when a person stops living according to the expectations of others.
The shadow in my price symbolises hidden potential. Sometimes the person we are meant to become already exists in us. But it waits for our courage and persistence to bring it into reality.
In the end, “becoming” is not about changing into someone else. It is about finally becoming the person you were always capable of being.
