Let's start today's diary game.
Sago Grain Syrup is a delicious and healthy drink, especially in summer.
Healthy Drink
Ingredients:
- Sago Grain: 1/2 cup
- Water: 4 cups
- Milk: 1 cup (optional)
- Sugar: to taste
- Spirits or any other syrup: to taste
- Ice: as needed
- Almonds, pistachios, and cashews: for garnish (optional)
Recipe:
- Wash the sago grains thoroughly and soak them in water for 30 minutes.
- Boil water in a pan and add the soaked sago grains.
- Cook the sago grains until they become translucent. This will take about 10-15 minutes.
- Drain the cooked sago grains and rinse them with cold water so that they do not stick together.
- In a large bowl, add cold water, milk (if using), sugar, and rooibos or other syrup.
- Mix well to dissolve the sugar.
- Add the cooked sago grains and mix.
- Chill with ice and garnish with almonds, pistachios, and cashews before serving.
Additional tips:
- You can increase or decrease the amount of milk according to your preference.
- If you like it sweeter, you can increase the amount of sugar.
- You can use any syrup of your choice.
- For a refreshing twist, you can also add a little lemon juice.
