Steem Heights - Reclaiming 1st Place! 🏆

Back in Steem Heights once again!

After a strong start yesterday, the first thing I wanted to do today was check the leaderboard.

Yesterday's best climb of 110m had earned me the top spot, but I had a feeling it wouldn't last long.

And I was right.

When I opened the rankings, I had already fallen to 3rd place.

• 2nd Place – 119m
• Me – 110m

Seeing myself in third place didn't sit well with me.

There was only one option.

I had to take back 1st place.

Time To Spend Some Energy

I've talked before about how important it is to save energy from Daily Challenges.

After collecting enough, I finally had the chance to buy one of the best skins available.

The skin costs 150 Energy and provides:

15% Floor Speed Reduction

It may not sound huge, but the difference is immediately noticeable.

The platforms move slower, giving you more time to line up perfect placements and continue combo streaks.

With my new skin equipped, I was ready to climb.

Warming Up

My first run was mostly for practice.

I managed to reach 86m, which wasn't bad, but I knew I could do better.

As the runs continued, my timing improved and the combos started stacking up.

One mechanic I really enjoy in Steem Heights is the extra reward for perfect placements on extremely narrow platforms.

When you land a perfect combo on one of those tiny platforms, you earn a 3m bonus, making every successful placement feel even more rewarding.

Eventually everything clicked.

After seeing those numbers, I was pretty confident about what would happen next.

A quick trip to the leaderboard confirmed it.

1st Place Reclaimed.

Of course, someone might beat my score tomorrow.

That's the nature of competition.

But for today, the crown is mine once again.

Before finishing up, I collected all of my Daily Challenge rewards. Energy remains one of the most valuable resources in the game, and I plan to keep saving it for future skins and upgrades.

For now, I'm happy to see my name back at the top of the rankings.
