RE: Brand-New
Yes, they did. The police website where you can check whether you have been hacked and whether your data has been passed on is also running well behind schedule, but there are two others where you can also check. This is the biggest hack of the... century, or is it since time immemorial?
I am no longer using my SIM card; my daughter is spending all day blocking numbers that are harassing her, and my son is changing all his passwords. He received a notification that attempts had been made to hack his accounts, including from Venezuela.
It takes an enormous amount of time and money to replace everything.
The Dutch Consumers' Association is clearly not doing anything either, as I understood from an interview. In the event of mass litigation, they assume that there was intent involved. According to them, it was human error (I disagree with this if you store data for 10 years or more, which is not permitted).

I'm sorry in your country became so hard to live. Have you ever planned to move elsewhere?
Not easy with children and I moved many times, emigrated included and have a home abroad to keep my youngest two safe. But if it comes to moving one should be able to start a life, generate an income and this isn't easy for a single woman. No matter where you go, youi are always seen as the unwanted foreigner. There's a lot of envy, more than a person can cope with at times. Envy based on nothing. Hard work yes, but that's not what people see, same for dealing with a very low income.
Sadness. Unemployment and low income became a plague here and there (less than in the Scandinavian countries, I listened).
It's not always about being a plague but also about not hiring foreigners especially not if they are from Europe.
The other way round compared to Italy, France (and very probably Spain), where the trend is (at least, it was until I lived and studied in the souther Europe) to mostly hire people from northern Africa, Middle-West and India...
Ps.: it's not a racist comment: politicians simply didn't stand for unemployed French, Spanish and Italians
It isif I hear Rutte talk about the pearls we get in with immigration. Pearls because of their education. Well, nearly everyone has no education, can hardly read and write plus they are too lazy to work and today it is remigration. I wonder who to blame. For sure not the immigrants. After all those years Frau Merkel her "wit schaffen das" turns out to be the opposite. We didn't manage anything plus the culture difference is too big, same for way of thinking and IQ.
We had huge periods where finding a job was impossible. My daughter is a good example of that. Too high educated wasn't liked, I heard the same.
Today there are plenty of jobs and soon, due to the wars not AI, no jobs at all
Dear friend, I'm afraid the too high educated to get this job is no more than a pitiful excuse from the employers. In Italy is very, very common and pitiful (at least, it was very common until I moved) and in fact, in Italy it usually means you are not rightly acquainted with politicians to get this job nor you have influent family members or friends, so please leave.

This isn’t what it means in the Netherlands. If you’re highly educated, you earn more than someone with a lower level of education. So why would an employer hire a highly educated person, often with little experience, simply because they spent more time in education, rather than someone with a lower level of education who could also do the job excellently?
Incidentally, something I’ve also come across on several occasions is the fact that, although a female employee is requested, when it comes down to it, you’re simply the coffee lady and are allowed to water the plants. It also happens that employers don’t want employees who are better educated than themselves. Another issue is that employers often want to train their staff themselves, and the higher the level of education, the more likely the person is to think for themselves and chart their own course, which isn’t always practical within every company. These days it matters less, simply because salaries are fixed and people are paid based on experience or are simply told: ‘You’ll earn this much.’ Incidentally, I once had an employer who did hire me, but was concerned that I was highly educated and would therefore be capable of doing better work, and that this would be demotivating, regardless of the fact that I wouldn’t have any responsibilities. I explained to him that I was aware of this and didn’t want any responsibilities at all, because I already have enough of those in my life as a single working mother with two jobs and my own business.
