It is not about religion what drives people but about existing and trying to survive.
If you want to survive you need a backup, helping hand and this Human kind already new long before religion started.
Morality has nothing to do with religion I even tend to believe most religions have no morals at all. If that woul be the case there would be more respect, not the will to force your own believes upon others and no wars.
The being was first, not the egg. Solo it stands for nothing and is even not fertilizer,no life, no chick inside. No matter how long you look or how warm you keep it.

Religion is unfortunately not what it should be. It dominates, fills the wallets of a few, makes many live in poverty, kills, fights wars without regret and diesn't offer peace of mind no matter how hard you try. It also makes many passive and not taking responsibily for their lives.
