The diary game 7/4/26; Tuesdays are for learning and growth.
Tuesday seemed to be a lighter day for me. I woke up early and did my usual Morning routine after which I had my bath and had to take my drugs before looking for what to eat. The Easter break was over and it was time for work.
We were having our monthly training at the office today. It’s usually on Mondays but because the Monday was Easter holiday, we had to shift it over to Tuesday and this particular day, I was determined to attend because I haven’t attended for this year. It’s been a beautiful year so far God willing.
After eating breakfast, I put on my clothes and soonest I and my friend was on our way to our monthly business meeting at our office. My first meeting in the year and somehow I was very happy added to the fact that I was also well dressed and that added to my confidence.
We had to walk down to the bus stop where we boarded a tricycle to where we would finally board another bus that will convey us to our destination. We stood on the bus stop for a while waiting for the right bus to our destination. It took a while before the bus finally came and we were already on the verge of seeking for an alternative route.
We entered the bus and our journey began. There wasn’t any traffic jam on the way and soonest we were at the office. The elevator leading up seems to be in a good condition and I had to use it with my friend for the first time.
on transit enroute our destination
The meeting was already in full swing by the time we got to the office. The speaker of the day had just mounted the podium and was making his introductory speech when we waltzed in. Just in the nick of time.
The teaching began in earnest as the teacher taught us on how to sell real estate to people and also made comparisons about selling real estate and selling insurance. He said that insurance is selling people’s death to them and yet people are buying it. How?
Insurance tells you to pay for your death and what will happen if you are no longer around but real estate paints people’s future to them while they are alive and can see it so it’s a beautiful thing to do. He went ahead to explain the 3 psychological drivers that drives clients. Greed or ROI, fear of missing out and status.
We have to appeal to all or one of these needs to be able to sell real estate to clients. Everyone is selfish and only thinks of themselves first. They want to know what’s in it for them. With these words and many more he taught us and it was indeed an impacting moment of learning.
After that we were served some light refreshments of small chops and chicken and soft drinks. It was a beautiful moment of learning and growth. Soonest we had to wait behind for a little meet and greet with our colleagues and then headed home using the elevator again making it the second time. We got home in the evening tired and needing food.
We warmed the left over food from the other day ate and retired to do other things for the night. It seems that whenever it’s a business day training, we literally spend end the most part of the day outside. Well, it was worth it.
