THE DIARY GAME: 27TH MAY, 2026 | Public Holiday, Work Stress & A Long Day

Today was honestly just one of those normal days, nothing too serious or exciting, but the day still somehow felt long. I actually thought I was going to stay at home today because Wednesday was a public holiday for Salah and Children’s Day, but work said otherwise So after my morning devotion, I started creating a little morning vlog for my social media. The vlog was kind of stressful because people kept passing in and out while I was recording, so it was hard getting clean clips, but I still tried my best and the video came out okay. After getting ready, I decided to trek to my junction since I still had enough time before work.

When I got to the junction, everywhere was really dry and quiet because most people were still at home celebrating Salah or preparing for prayers.

Honestly, transportation was stressful today because I waited for almost 20 to 30 minutes before finally seeing a car going my direction. When I eventually got to work, my colleague was already there, so we continued the cleaning and arranging together. Later on, my boss came and bought ram meat and samosa for us, which honestly made everybody happy.Even though I didn’t personally celebrate Salah, at least I still got to enjoy small Salah meat at work. Another one of our bosses later came and complained that there was no water in the fridge. Normally, some guys help us get table water, but they all travelled or went out for Salah celebration, so me and my colleague had to go get the water ourselves.And honestly, it was not funny at all because the distance from the market to our office is really far. But we still trekked there together, got the water, and on my way back I bought biscuits because I was already feeling hungry. As the day went on, I started feeling weak and developed a headache, but work still had to continue.We still attended to customers, did inspections, snapped cars, and handled the normal activities at the stand. Towards evening, some people came to inspect one of the cars, and honestly they ended up wasting so much of our time. Till now, I don’t even know whether they finally paid for the car or not 😭 Because of them, we closed really late today. On our way home, my boss stopped at the fuel station to buy fuel before helping drop us close to our junction because it looked like rain was about to start falling.

From there, I entered another car going my direction and later took a bike home.The annoying part was that the bike man charged me extra because the weather looked like it was about to rain. When I finally got home, I was too tired to eat swallow, so I just made garri instead because that was honestly the easiest option for me.After eating, I relaxed for a while and just called it a day because I was already exhausted. Today was not bad, just long, tiring, and full of little stress here and there
