Everyone has a dream lifestyle. Where to live, the kind of house, their fashion style, ideal partner, career, car, vacations and many more. It's good to have these intentions because they give motivation that helps to build a comfortable future that brings satisfaction and peace of mind.

Let's take a look at these viewpoints about my dream lifestyle 👇🏾

Briefly share your dream lifestyle with us

In the future, my dream lifestyle is being independent, financially and otherwise. I see myself settled in a standard self-contained apartment because I love staying indoors when I don't have anywhere to go. My room has a simple workspace or a study area with my table and cozy chair where I work and study. I have the basics appliances that make home more comfortable: a fridge, blender, reading lamp, mp3 player and a few other essentials.

Look at how I arrange my personal belongings the way I love it since I'm not sharing my room with anyone. My bedsheets smooth and breathable, my closet fixed, clothes and shoes neatly arranged. In the kitchen, my cutlery, pots, plates and other basic kitchen accessories needed in a home are in order. Now to the bathroom, everywhere is sparkling clean. In the night I lie on my soft bed and look around the room and feel satisfaction. That inner peace and joy in my heart my dream finally came true.

What are the limitations of living your dream lifestyle

Living this simple lifestyle truly comes with some limitations. And this limits will help me grow into more dreams I've had about my lifestyle, one step at a time.

Here are some of the limitations:

The cost of renting a standard self-contained and buying the basic home appliances like fridge and other basic needs require a steady and nice income. Since there's no one to share cost with, I'll have to pay my bills; power supply, water and others, and also full responsibility of everything is on me, no division of labour. I'll literally do everything alone: cleaning, washing, repairs and always keeping my place tidy and organized everyday.

Though I'm an introvert, that doesn't mean I should totally isolate myself from them, now I have an achievement, I'll work towards other achievements. I'll still connect with my friends online if I won't be chanced to meet up and spend time with them. Like it is said, a tree can't stand on its and become a forest, I need friends around me.

Do you believe that home training / Environment can influence your dream lifestyle

Yes I do. Home training and environment do affects our habits, values and our choice of lifestyle as adults. While growing up my parents often lock me and my siblings indoors for safety, warning us not to open the door for anyone. That made me grow up into being a reserved and I love quiet and serene environment. This shaped me into being an introvert, a personality that keeps me focus grow positively, but it has limit. Cause once in a while I sit out or visit my loved ones.

That early training also taught me discipline and how to take care of myself and others; being responsible. Since I was the older child, Mum will give me duties to be done before she comes back. Like cleaning the house, sometimes I cook, bath my siblings and put them to sleep after TV time and a whole lot. I didn't really understand what I was doing then but I enjoyed doing it and also, Mum's compliment for a job well done built my self confidence.

So you see, my dream lifestyle of living independently in a neat self-contained apartment with a workspace and home essentials to make living comfortable is a clear reflection of the home I grew up from.

Loud Lifestyle or low key when you finally made it to the top

I prefer a low key. Not only is it influenced by my upbringing but I came to understand that having peace of mind and satisfaction doesn't need showing off. My home taught me privacy, contentment instead of attention to please others, honestly it's not worth the stress. Loud lifestyle often brings needless pressure, competition and distractions. That's a celebrity lifestyle, I'm not a celebrity o😀

Staying on low key doesn't mean I won't celebrate my accomplishments. I will do that with close friends and family, it's not necessary that the whole world should know about it. And also, the satisfaction I get from gradual achievements brings me inner joy, and that means a lot to me than living loud.

Finally, success for me feels more realistic, comfortable and enjoyable when it's experienced privately not loud.
