The Diary Game: 24th May, 2026. Rainy Day, No Church and So much Rest.
Hello guys, it's @otidi here again, and I want to tell you how my day went.
Today is Sunday, and I woke up on the beautiful side of the bed. When I got up this morning, I stayed on my bed for a while. I was just there, not really doing anything. I honestly did not prepare to go to church today because yesterday I was extremely tired. I could not even arrange what to wear to church. As a matter of fact, all the clothes I could possibly wear were dirty, and the others were at my other place, so I did not prepare for church at all.
While everybody was preparing for church this morning, everywhere suddenly became cloudy, and before we knew it, it started raining. It rained heavily today and lasted for some hours. By the time it stopped, only a few people were able to go to church while I stayed back at home.
Since I was at home, I decided to cook. I made rice and beans for the whole house, and by around ten or eleven o’clock, the food was ready. We ate that afternoon, and honestly, I did not really do much today apart from being on my phone most of the time.
From the moment I ate until this evening, I was mostly pressing my phone. Sometime in the afternoon, I finally went to shower because I did not even bathe early. While I was on my phone, I spent time checking up on different things, learning new stuff, and trying to understand more about investments and finance. I was reading about stocks, mutual funds, treasury bills, and things like that. I was just trying to know more about these things.
My younger brother became really interested too, so we started discussing everything together. All my brothers were around, and we were all pressing our phones, talking, learning, and trying to see how far we could go with all these ideas and plans. Honestly, one of the things we enjoy talking about in this house is money and ways to grow financially, so it became one long interesting discussion for us.
Later on, I started feeling sleepy, and then my lady called me. She had gone to deliver some bags she made for a client, and while passing by, she called me. I told her to stop by so we could see for a bit. She came around, we talked for about forty to fifty minutes, and then she left. Honestly, it always feels good seeing her, so it was really nice.
After she left, I came back home and continued my evening. I called a few friends I had not spoken to throughout the week. There is just something beautiful about checking up on friends on a Sunday, even if you may not speak again for another week. It still feels good to hear from each other and know everybody is doing okay. So I spoke with about two friends, and we had some really nice conversations before ending the calls.
Later in the evening, I had to make swallow for the house. I made swallow with white okra soup because there was already stew I prepared earlier in the afternoon. The weather became cold in the evening, so it just felt like the perfect meal to end the day with.
Before wrapping up my day completely, I still had some work to do. I needed to create Facebook and YouTube accounts for some clients because of the deal I talked about earlier. So yes, I am fully getting back to work from today.
It still looks like I have a long night ahead of me, but before that, I will sleep first, wake up later, and continue working.
