JW on Campus Hangout

There is a common saying that "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." This means that no matter the amount of work a person puts in to accomplish something, they still need rest for themselves. So after a long and draining semester, a group of us planned a hangout for every JW fellow on campus.

Where did it happen?

The hangout was originally fixed at an open space, a field, but due to a bad weather condition and heavy rainfall, the location was fixed inside the school campus. It was fixed the weekend after everyone was done with exams, which was a favorable period.
It was meant to ease us from the stress and the loads of school activities we all went through—especially the exams.

What did you do?

A lot of students came around despite the unfavorable weather, and I was really impressed. Without them there would be no fun.
I was one of the organizers, so I arranged some gamaes to be played amongst ourselves. I prepared about 5 Bible games for every one to play. We gave winners sweets for winning each game, and everyone participated.
There was also music too, a soothing and chill song for everyone to vibe with as the gathering went on. We had snacks for each person. Everyone who came out didn't go home hungry; there was enough to go round. The atmosphere was a chilly and lively one.

Something you learned or realized

I learned a lot of things on this day. One thing I learned about is the power of friendship and commitment. Friendship in the sense that you cannot know someone except by actually meeting them, and commitment in the sense that once someone has your back, they will do everything in their power to support you and ensure you have success in whatever it is you want to do.
About 40 people came out to support the event this day. It was an act of real love.

Conclusion

It was a great break and reminded me how important these moments are. A lot was done to keep the fun lively; pictures were taken to keep these beautiful moments. We look forward to organizing another one in the form of a picnic, this time during the dry season so that we can have fun and play outside.
It was a nice day indeed.
