current world is more based on power and superstition. Maybe most of the ideologies in my post today may not match your thoughts. However, today's post may be a little political, but I am writing this to express my personal opinion and to explain the current situation, my intention is not to call any other party or opinion bad. Therefore, I request you not to take the matter in a bad way.

In the current world, for the sake of power, wars, riots are created in every family, society, state and the world, and beautiful relationships are destroyed. They do not hesitate to kill someone for the greed for power. Especially when they think themselves big and exercise their rule or power over others. A rare incident happened in our Bangladesh in 2024. The whole world witnessed it. Which is known as the July 24th mass uprising. Where the people themselves took to the streets to save themselves from the exploitation and rule of the government and forced the Prime Minister of the country to step down from his duties. Many ordinary students and people lost their lives in this. The whole world witnessed it, which made everyone cry. But we thought that maybe if this dictatorial government falls, the people of the country will get a good government. But as the saying goes, everyone is the same, a dog's tail can never be straightened.

After much waiting, after the fall of the government, a new government was formed in the country through elections in February. We hoped that they would at least do good for the people. But the character of all the leaders is the same. Within 2 months, they started showing their true colors. They were securing their interests by appointing people from their party in all sectors. A few days ago, the heads of several universities and colleges were informed of their responsibilities and gave their party people responsibilities there. So that they can siphon off the money of the projects of all the institutions. But even if the students of all universities accept this, we, the students of DUET (Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology), have not agreed to accept it. Because we will study in the university, the government will not be able to show its power there even if it wants, we will never accept this. We will not accept them. Our demand is: -

"We must appoint a VC from within our university."

No government, and the ruling Chhatra Dal is not willing to accept this, they want the ruling VC to come, so that they can achieve their interests. But the general students are not willing to accept it. That is why we started the movement before the day the new VC comes. So that he cannot come in. Our demand was clear, there is no shortage of experienced teachers in our university, we want the VC to be appointed from among them, we will not accept it if the VC of any outside university imposes it on us. On the 12th of this month, we declared the VC unwanted at Duet Campus and started the movement. The VC failed to enter the campus on the first day. Then he sat in the Upazila Parishad and started his first day's activities. Whenever we did not allow him to enter, the Chhatra Dal, police, and outsiders attacked our general students from outside the main gate of the campus. 18 students were injured and 4 seriously injured. The police fired tear gas at us. It was like a battlefield.

I had never seen before that a VC, greedy for power, could attack ordinary students like this by using his party power. It was like another July, I saw the blood of my brothers flowing before my eyes. There was a chase all day long. We ordinary students, the police and the Tukai group inside and outside, forced the VC into the Duet campus. But we were firm in our decision. If he was a good-hearted person, he would have accepted the students' demands and left the campus with respect and the government would have accepted that. We did not want to disrespect him, but he abused his power and attacked us. We spent a day in this way, chasing each other and shedding blood. From then on, our program became more strict. Then the Duet blockade program began. This continued until the 17th. But since our exams were over and we were on Eid vacation, we could not continue the movement. Most of the vacations were spent at home.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, our new autocratic VC entered the empty campus using his foot-licking lads and started his activities. Which we will accept, Nane. Our movement will continue again after Eid until this VC resigns. We cannot betray the blood of our brothers. The price of blood must be paid by the VC. We will not allow any autocratic, materialistic, party VC to stay on our campus. We have yet to understand how a VC who can attack students with the police on the first day will treat students in the future.
