RE: Alien Sketch from Imagination – No Reference, Just Vibes

in ᴀʀᴛ & ᴀʀᴛɪꜱᴛꜱ2 days ago

I find it a bit difficult to describe what an alien looks like in my mind. I don’t think aliens look like humans, so they don’t look like the figure you’ve drawn either, even though the word ‘alien’ actually just means ‘foreigner’. So, in that sense, it does make sense, of course.
It’s interesting to see how you first draw a vertical line, divide it into sections, and then draw the character within it.
It’s great that you’ve found the time to post in the Community; otherwise, it gets very quiet.
Good luck with Soul-Lighters!

P.s. what you showed isn't #digitalart.

Well I guess alien real meaning can differ from it's imaginative meaning as Star wars movie watchers will speak of space invaders. I actually don't believe in aliens being a rare kind of but just like drawing them.
Maybe this should've been called Abomination-drawing😂😂.

Separating the section make some things easier and I just learnt some things I was planning to put to practice.
When I use 1cm for the head of a tall person, the whole height will be eight. Foot to knees 2cm the hip to knee 2cm and the hip to navel, navel to chest and chest to neck also 1cm each.
Just experimenting more on how to make things look cooler.

Hands is just my greatest enemy at the moment
