Thank you so much for appreciating my work. To answer your question, they didn't start earlier because other work was going on there.
As for the payment for this job, it's pitty to say that skill isn't really valued here in Pakistan. People don't deeply understand the value of hard work, nor do they pay much. You'll be surprised to know that I got 50 dollars for this entire job, and that included my own materials. I wish I was paid by the hour, that would have been amazing :-)
And about the logo, I just made it myself, just a circle with water inside and the name of the pool on it.

Next time you do this you tell them to buy all the materials you need plus pay for your dinners and lunch and make sure you have plenty to drink. Next set a price of not per hour for the total job and calculate the time you need + 1.5.
Last minute jobs, working extra hours should be paid. If you always accept they will know the value of your work. This was at least 4 days work!
