The Most Famous Dinosaur: What Made T-Rex So Powerful?

After learning about Woolly Mammoths, today I’m thinking about the king of dinosaurs — Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex). While enjoying my yam and egg sauce, I decided to learn more about this scary giant.
Physical Features
- One of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs
- Up to 12–13 meters long
- Very strong jaws with 60 sharp teeth
- Tiny arms but extremely powerful legs and tail
When Did They Live?
T-Rex lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 68–66 million years ago in North America. They went extinct with most dinosaurs after a big asteroid hit the earth.
Interesting Facts
- Their bite force was one of the strongest of any land animal ever.
- They could run quite fast despite their size.
- Some scientists believe they had feathers on parts of their body when young.
What If T-Rex Was Alive Today?
- It would be the ultimate predator.
- No zoo could contain it safely.
- Movies like Jurassic Park show how terrifying it would be.
My Thoughts
Learning these ancient animals is very interesting. Even though we don’t have dinosaurs in Nigeria today, their history still excites me. It makes me appreciate nature and the food on my table.
