WHEN YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO BE REPRIMANDED

in #faith3 days ago

"HE WHO IS OFTEN REBUKED, AND HARDENS HIS NECK, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy."
Proverbs 29:1 (NKJV)

If you did not want to be corrected, reprimanded, or rebuked and scolded, you may become rotten and spoilt.
Corrections in God's Kingdom are signs of love:
5 AND YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN THE EXHORTATION WHICH SPEAKS TO YOU AS TO SONS: “MY SON, DO NOT DESPISE THE CHASTENING OF THE LORD, NOR BE DISCOURAGED WHEN YOU ARE REBUKED BY HIM; 6 FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE CHASTENS, AND SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.” 7 IF YOU ENDURE CHASTENING, GOD DEALS WITH YOU AS WITH SONS; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 BUT IF YOU ARE WITHOUT CHASTENING, OF WHICH ALL HAVE BECOME PARTAKERS, THEN YOU ARE ILLEGITIMATE AND NOT SONS" (Hebrews 12:5-8 NKJV).

If your pastor, leaders or parents—both spiritual and biological—are scared or afraid of correcting you; you are already heading towards a destruction.
Whoever gets to the state of being too big to be corrected by God's delegated authorities over their life are always left to themselves, thus, when any danger is looming; either they are straying or derailing, no one would be bold enough to tell them and that eventually would lead to the person's destruction.
If you have a pastor, a leader, or a father figure, or any spiritual or biological delegated authority over your life, who rebukes and corrects you often; you should count or see It a great privilege.

When you are left to yourself in which no one could call you to order when you are going astray or missing it; you are treading a dangerous path.
Submission is not a weakness, but a strength and wisdom.
The point being emphasized here is not about having a coach or mentor or whatever as is commonly taught today. That might be good on its own, If you are under the right person to oversee your life.
But the one being said here is about the authorities put in place in your life by God:
a. A believer being submissive to the authority of his or her pastor, the local church they attend (1 Thessalonians 5:12,13; Hebrews 13:7,17).
b. A wife being submissive to the husband (Ephesians 5:22-24; 1 Peter 3:1,2).
c. Children being obedient and submissive to their parents (Ephesians 6:1-3; Hebrews 12:9).
d. Or being submissive to whoever is occupying or standing in the place of one authority or another in your life (Romans 13:7; Titus 3:1,2).
If this is missing in your life, you may be easily swayed or deceived and be taken away from the right path.

Believers are to be keepers of one another:
1 WE WHO ARE STRONG OUGHT TO BEAR WITH THE SCRUPLES, WEAKNESSES, OF THE WEAK, AND NOT TO PLEASE OURSELVES. 2 LET EACH OF US PLEASE HIS NEIGHBOUR FOR HIS GOOD, LEADING TO EDIFICATION [building up]" (Romans 15:1,2 NKJV).
When you are being corrected, either in the local church where you belong or the family, It is because you are loved and being cared for. Those who are doing it wanted to put the Scripture to practice; thus, do not be cocky.
The believers are not to forsake the gathering, the assembly, of the people of God:
24 AND LET US CONSIDER ONE ANOTHER IN ORDER TO STIR LOVE AND GOOD WORKS, 25 NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER, as is the manner of some, BUT EXHORTING ONE ANOTHER, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24,25 NKJV).
Also, according to the above Bible passage, do not forsake the gathering of the people of God because you are being reprimanded or reproved by the delegated authority under which you are.
Know that, you are being reproved or rebuked because you are loved; just endeavour to receive or accept the reproof with a good and repentant heart, being willing to change.
Peace!

You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Should there be any ailment in your body, you are made whole in Jesus' name.
Peace.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).

b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
