Free College?

Should College Be Free for Everyone in Korea?

Many people think that college education should be free in Korea. However, I disagree with this because if it were free, there could be low quality education, could cost citizens too much tax money, and could lack social events and activities on campus.
First of all, there would be low quality education because of free teachers.
They would get income from the government thru taxing the citizens.
Not only that, there would be a lack of competition on high testing scores.
For instance, if it were free, there is no motivation to compete among the students.
Finally, there wouldn’t be many events and no fun activities or festivals.
For example, if there were no festivals, the students wouldn’t be excited.
In conclusion, although free college tuition may seem like a fair solution, it causes serious problems such as rising taxes, low quality education, and a lack of student motivation. For these reasons, college should not be free for everyone in Korea.
