ASUS Insane New Cryptocurrency Mining Motherboard
This thing looks like a fire hazard
I've already talked about other crypto mining motherboards and graphics cards, but this is the first to really make my jaw drop.
With 19 expansion slots, this B250 beast is positioned to be the leading piece of kit for people running crazy mining rigs. It requires triple 12 volt ATX power inputs (24-pin) to power all those slots, 18 of which are PCIe 3.0 x1 (you still get one full x16 slot). Given how many cards this monster can support, it should be one of the highest ROI components out there.
ASUS is also loading it with a mining-specific BIOS that supposedly helps increase hash rates, and a convenient UI for checking the status of all those graphics cards at a glance.
