Tenderness
This painting was intended as a gift for a girl I liked, but I ultimately couldn't give it to her. It's not the first time I've painted pictures as gifts for girls, but I consider giving them a very powerful and profound act. In fact, the act of creating them itself is significant. I tried to capture all the sensitivity I could in an abstract painting. I used pastel tones because of the softness they convey. The curved lines in the center of the painting can reveal the profiles of faces, depending on how you look at them—specifically, two faces. I don't have the painting on hand to measure the size, but it's approximately 40 or 60 cm wide by 90 cm long. I hope you like it.
The materials used are acrylic paint, plaster, and walnut varnish.
