Don't knock it .
I arrived early in the morning with very little concept of what was ahead of me. It was a phone call out of the blue and the gentleman was very gracious in his explaining of what was needed, all I new is that I was going to shooting something new and exciting.
So headed out to a farm 10 km out of town and made my way up the hill to an old camping ground that had been re-purposed into a glamping area. I had to look it up. 'Glamourous Camping". Think camping but with the luxury of living comfortably. Electricity, comfortable beds, private bathrooms and even hot tubs. Hassle free camping out in nature with modern amenities.
There was a concrete base and ablution built on each site with the "geodomes" set up with an outdoor sofa and picnic setup, umbrella, Champagne and snacks. Toiletries were set up in the bathroom with fresh towels and jasmin incense wofting around.
Very impressive. However clients are arriving at 15h00 this afternoon so we need to get as many pics done by then. Okey Dokey, lets get to it. As usual the weather in the mountains was a little alot unpredictable, but we got lucky I think, cloudy weather is in my opinion always welcome when photographing, nature gives automatic lighting options and the dramatic wonderful backgrounds are always worth it.
