Welcome to the 36th tutorial in my Steemit tutorial series. In this tutorial, I will explain plagiarism and its bad impact in blogging & social media platform like steemit. I shall also provide tips to avoid them and contribute positively to Steemit.

Plagiarism is a serious issue in a decentralized blogging and social media platform like steemit. Plagiarism is when someone copies another person’s work without giving credit. It happens when people take content from websites, books etc and use it as their own. Many bloggers copy and paste articles without changing anything. This is stealing. It is a big problem in blogging and social media platforms. Some do it to make money, while others do it because they do not know it is wrong. But plagiarism is not accepted in any good blogging platform. It breaks trust and lowers the value of original content.

Many real-life blogging platforms, like Steemit, Medium do not allow plagiarism. If a user copies content and posts it, their account may get flagged or banned. Some platforms have plagiarism-checking tools to find copied content. For example, if a user copies an article from a news website and posts it without credit, they may lose their reputation. In Steemit, if someone steals content, other users can report them. Abuse Watcher is playing a very crucial role here. Anyone can report to abuse watcher. The platform can remove reward by down voting by whales. This is why every blogger must write original content. Giving credit when using another person’s words or ideas is the right thing to do.

There are different types of plagiarism. One common example is direct plagiarism, where a person copies and pastes an entire article without any changes. Another example is mosaic plagiarism, where someone takes parts from different sources and joins them together without giving credit. Some people also use self-plagiarism, which means copying their own old content and posting it as new. For example, if a blogger writes a post about Bitcoin on one platform and then posts the same article on another platform without saying it is a repost, that is self-plagiarism. Even changing a few words from someone else’s work and posting it without credit is still plagiarism.

Plagiarism destroys the value of a blogging platform. If users copy content, the platform loses its uniqueness. Readers will not trust the content, and they will stop visiting the site. Advertisers and investors also avoid platforms where plagiarism is common. This makes the platform weaker and less profitable. In social media, plagiarism creates misinformation. When people share copied content without checking facts, false information spreads. This is harmful to both the readers and the platform. Every blogger must respect original work and help keep the platform honest.

New members in blogging must learn to write their own content. Even if they take ideas from other sources, they should rewrite them in their own words. Giving credit to the original source is a good practice. Blogging is not just about posting; it is about sharing knowledge in a fair way. The Tron Fan Club Community wants to build a strong and honest blogging space. Every member should avoid plagiarism to protect the value of their work and the community. Writing original posts will help bloggers grow and earn respect. It will also keep the community strong and trusted by everyone.
