SLC31-W1: Shop & Share Challenge - Visit a Small Local Shop

in Traveling Steemlast month

Greetings everyone and welcome to my participation in this challenge. I am a middleman shoe vendor and I sell pre-loved shoes. Come with me as I go get some Pairs of shoes for a client.
A client had reached out to me with regards to some shoes i posted on my WhatsApp status so I was going to make the purchase for them from my vendor.
My shoe vendor is a work from home mother who does her business from the confines of her home. Using a room in her house, she turned it into a walk in store where customers come, make inspections and then make purchases.

Once you come into her walk in store, the first thing you’ll see are an array of different shoes lined up on shelves that fill the room. These shoes have been sorted, price tagged and ready for sale.
You’ll see different colours, sizes and shapes. Because these have been arranged, they are the first items that will catch your eye

A selfie of me at the local shop I visited!

She recently added a section for bags as you can see them by the side. The next thing you will see are shoes littered on the floor. These are the newest collection that have not been sorted. These ones will not he posted until they have been sorted, but if a walk in customer lies anything they see here, they can buy it. This is more like a pre-view before a product goes live.

Tell us why you chose that shop?

One reason I chose this shop is because I am able to physically inspect what I purchase before buying them. This is very important in the line of business that I do as most vendors don’t offer refunds once you make a purchase so I need to confirm if the shoes are up to par before buying.

The price of the item you purchased from the shop

Finally i settled for these beautiful shoes because they were available in my customer’s size and she liked them.

Items I bought

Once we agreed on a price of 11,000 for each shoe, the equivalent of 95 steem per shoe, i made a transfer. She didn’t give me any receipt and I didn’t ask for any.

My Shopping experience.

This particular vendor is very customer support friendly. I’ve made a couple purchases from her that weren’t my client sizes. She didn’t make a fuss, rather she offered helpful solutions and changed them to new ones I picked.
She is also very polite but firm about her office hours and that to me speaks discipline. No one wants to do business with an undisciplined person as your eyes will see shege banza.

What do you think the shop or store owner needs to do to expand his or her business and tell us if the business is lagging in patronage.

She needs more visibility: to be out there more with her goods. I noticed that even the people who stay around do not know she runs a shoe business and has a walk in store.
She also needs to take posting more serious as sometimes i chat her up to ask if there are new supplies before she posts. I understand that managing her kids, home and business can be a lot, but i feel if she posts more, she’ll make more sales as there are beautiful shoes in her collection at very affordable rates.
I do not believe she lacks patronage, as her reputation and the quality of what she sells makes her customers come back.

Your My shoe vendor has nice female shoes which you can shop from her place, and I recommend that you visit the store. I think the first image should be an image that shows the shop at least and not buildings. Photos tell a lot in a post so try to use your photos appropriately.

I told you in my writeup that she operates a walk in store from the confines of her home .
And then I added a view of her building. I wouldn’t be sharing a picture of her parlour now, would I??
