Today I will discuss this Civil Surgeon Office in detail by including it in the Atlas Map. As the center of health management, hundreds of people come to this office every day for healthcare, administrative support and various information. Due to its modern facilities, well-organized structure and orderly management, the Tangail Civil Surgeon Office is known as a well-planned office. Below is a detailed description of the various departments and structures of this office.

What is basically done in this office?

Tangail Civil Surgeon's Office is a place from which the entire district's healthcare is managed. This office is responsible for ensuring that our hospitals, community clinics and government doctors and nurses can work well.

Many people come to this office every day. Some come to get medical papers, some come for health check-ups, and some come to get medical fitness certificates for government jobs. Basically, I also went to get a medical certificate to go abroad. There is a seating area for everyone, a waiting room, a prayer room, a rest room, and a secure parking facility.

When I went, it was noon and there was no crowd of people. There is a neat and secure main gate to enter the office premises which is controlled by security personnel 24 hours a day. The entrance is wide and clean so that there is no problem in entering a wheelchair or ambulance.

On both sides of the gate, there are directional boards for visitors where the layout of the office, the location of the departments and rooms are given with pictures. Although I will write about this in the next step. This gate is very secure which is known as the iron snips gate.

Parking Section

There is a parking area next to the Civil Surgeon's Office with ample space, which is divided into two separate sections. One for working officials, the other for patients and visitors. Although I did not have any vehicle with me, I had no work to do except take pictures of the parking area.

There are separate parking lines for all types of vehicles, including motorcycles, private cars, and microbuses. The parking area is monitored by CCTV cameras and is monitored by security personnel round the clock.

Notice Board Section

There were two large notice boards or it can also be called instruction boards. The notice board section plays a particularly important role in informing visitors and officials. A large digital and printed notice board has been installed next to the entrance of the main building.

Here, health department orders, transfer/appointment notices, training related information, citizen service instructions, emergency vaccination or medical camp information are regularly updated. Awareness messages and videos are played on the digital screen. The names of community clinics in Tangail district are also there.

The Civil Surgeon's office is located in the heart of the main building. This room is furnished with modern furniture, file cabinets and a small conference table. Here, various important files of the health department are approved every day, meetings are held with officials and decisions are taken regarding the implementation of various government directives.

The room is decorated in a neat and professional manner. One thing I noticed is that the Civil Surgeon has two bodyguards who are his personal secretaries. They are always in his room. The name of this Civil Surgeon Officer is Dr. (F.M. Mahbubul Alam.)

The Deputy Civil Surgeon oversees the implementation of health services and field level activities. His room is located next to the Civil Surgeon's room and is similarly furnished.

He oversees the vaccination programme, emergency health arrangements, district level training, etc. Visitors fill in the appointment form at the appointed time to meet the Deputy Civil Surgeon as per their requirement. I took the picture immediately from the side of this room. The name of this Civil Surgeon Officer is Dr. Mohammad Azizul Haque.

There is a spacious and cool waiting room for the number of people who come to the Tangail Civil Surgeon's office every day. There are enough chairs and benches to sit, health awareness posters and digital screens are pasted on the walls.

Many times, elderly or sick patients enter the office after resting here for a while. A separate filter machine has also been installed for water. However, I noticed that there is a high-quality fan above everyone's head to endure the heat. Fans have been arranged so that people do not suffer in the heat, but there is an AC arrangement for high-ranking officials.

Security measures

Since this is an important government office, it is of utmost importance to have a security system. To ensure overall security, CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the office area.

High resolution CCTV cameras have been installed at every important location like the main entrance, parking area, waiting room, office room and corridor which are monitored from the control room round the clock. As a result, it has been possible to ensure the discipline and security of the office. The CCTV cameras are active 24 hours a day.

Accidents are not uncommon in our lives and can happen at any time. Therefore, it is important to always have safety equipment. As per government regulations, the office has a modern Fire extinguisher system. Fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and alarm systems have been installed on each floor.

Fire exit routes are marked for safe exit in case of emergency and fire drills are also organized every year so that the officers and employees can be prepared. However, the most important is the fire protection device, which I have taken a picture of.

Electrical Maintenance System

The electrical maintenance system acts as the backbone of a modern office. The Tangail Civil Surgeon's Office has a round-the-clock power monitoring system and its own generator unit to ensure power supply. In case of a power outage, the generator starts up within a few seconds.

In addition, the electrical maintenance team regularly inspects and maintains LED lights, fans, computer circuits, AC units, etc. on different floors. There is also a hotline facility to resolve emergency problems. If it is inside a specific box, I took a picture of the front part.

Prayer Section

Currently, every government institution or large company in Bangladesh has a prayer room. Out of respect for religious sentiments, there is a clean prayer room in the office premises which is always kept open for prayers.

There is a separate place for ablution which is located in a part of the outside and the necessary items for prayers such as prayer mats, Quran Sharif etc. are kept here. On Fridays, many employees and visitors attend the congregation here. However, most of the time, this office is closed on Fridays.

What did I do personally?

Since I will be preparing a medical certificate to go abroad, I will have to go to a clinic and get some health tests done. They have given me a list of 15 health tests to undergo. This report will be submitted directly to the Civil Surgeon's Office, after which they will monitor it and verify me. The picture below is the test list and the form below is my medical certificate application form.

The government charges 300 taka for signing all our medical certificates, which is approximately 20 STEEM approx.

Since I went there, I can personally say that Tangail Civil Surgeon's Office has undoubtedly strengthened its position as a modern, orderly and people-friendly health administrative institution. Each of its departments, such as a clean and secure main gate, spacious parking area, comfortable waiting room, orderly office rooms, prayer rooms designated for religious practices, staff restrooms, CCTV camera security everywhere, modern fire extinguishing system, electrical maintenance unit and notice boards ensuring information flow, all together have made this office a unique model administrative center.
