What Participants Should Capture

Some of the most memorable places are not the ones that appear in every travel guide. They are the hidden gems known mainly by local people, places with unique stories, beautiful scenery, cultural value, or everyday charm that deserve greater recognition.

This week, participants are invited to explore and review lesser-known locations through Steem Atlas, helping others discover places that are truly beyond the map.

You may capture:

• Lesser-known attractions
• Hidden local businesses or family-run shops
• Quiet villages with unique local businesses
• Secret viewpoints
• Forgotten landmarks or heritage sites

Choose a place that deserves more attention and explain why it is worth visiting.

2. Why do you think this place remains hidden or overlooked despite its value?
3. What makes this place unique compared to other places in your area?
4. What can visitors experience, discover, or learn by visiting this place?
5. Why do you think this place deserves more recognition on Steem Atlas?

Writing Guidelines

---

• Post Title: SLC-S33/W2 | Beyond the Map : Hidden Beyond the Map
• Share your personal observations and experiences.
• Explain what makes this place unique and worth discovering.
• Describe its historical, cultural, natural, or local significance.
• Include opening & closing times if appropriate.
• Write meaningful descriptions for every photograph.
• Focus on storytelling rather than short captions.

Submission Rules

• Publish your post in the Story On Steem Community.
• Your publication must be at least 500 words.
• Participants may write in any language.
• Share at least 10 original photographs with meaningful captions.
• Add at least one original video (45 seconds to 1 minute).
• Correct Google Maps link and Steem Atlas pin are required.
• Read and follow the 21 Tips to Make Better Posts for Steem Atlas.
• You may set 10%–25% beneficiaries to @steem-atlas.
• Review a location that you have not reviewed previously.
• Do not use photographs that were shared previously.
• Include the actual date of your visit.
• Maintain good markdown presentation and post quality.
• Plagiarism and AI-generated content are strictly prohibited.
• Only one entry per participant.
• Invite at least 3 friends to participate.
• Leave your post link in the comment section of this contest post.

Photography Guidelines

• Use clear, original, and well-composed photographs.
• Show different perspectives that best represent the place.
• Avoid blurry, heavily edited, or unrelated images.
• Keep all photographs connected to the same location or nearby area.
• Highlight the hidden beauty, unique details, or local character of the place.
• Your video should complement your photographs and review.
