Hi all especially to our fantastic moderators and Steemit community! |

I hope you are all well and happy in your life. Alhamdulillah I am also completely fine by the grace of Allah. Today I am going to share my thoughts with you all about a very modern and interesting topic of agriculture “Precision Agriculture”. In today’s era technology has completely changed. Agriculture sector and farmers are now getting better yields with modern methods. Guys have you ever heard of modern agricultural technology or smart farming? If yes guys then do share your opinion.
◉Precision Agriculture: The Smart Future of Farming◉
Guys agriculture has always been the most important sector of human life. A large part of human food economy and employment is associated with agriculture. Over time the world's population increased and the need for food also increased. This need forced man to adopt new and modern methods in agriculture. In today's era agriculture is no longer limited to plowing and sowing seeds. But now it has also included modern technology computer systems drones sensors and artificial intelligence. One of these modern methods is “precision agriculture”.
Precision agriculture means such intelligent and modern agriculture. In which the right amount of water fertilizer and medicines are used by understanding the needs of each crop and land. The aim of this method is to achieve more and better production by using less resources. In simple words precision agriculture is “smart farming”.
In the past farmers used the same amount of water and fertilizer in the entire field. But the land of each part is not the same. Somewhere the soil is more fertile and somewhere less. Some places need more water while others need less. Precision agriculture works by understanding these differences. So that resources are not wasted and the crop is better.
Various technologies are used in this modern system. These include GPS sensors drones satellite images automated machines and computerized systems. All these things provide the farmer with accurate information about the condition of the crop.
For example if there is a shortage of water in one part of a field. The sensor immediately identifies it. Then only that part is watered where it is needed. This saves water and the crop also remains better. Similarly if a disease or pest attack starts in a crop somewhere. It can be detected quickly through the drone camera and timely treatment becomes possible. I think precision agriculture is the agriculture of the future. Because both water and agricultural land are decreasing in the world. If we continue to rely on old methods there may be a food shortage in the future. This is why developed countries are rapidly adopting modern agricultural technology.
The biggest advantage of precision agriculture is resource conservation. Usually farmers use fertilizers or sprays by guesswork. Which often leads to additional costs. But modern technology determines the right amount. This not only reduces costs but also protects the environment. Using too many chemicals affects the fertility of the soil. While precision agriculture reduces this loss. Another major benefit is better monitoring of crops. Modern drones take pictures of fields and tell the farmer which part is weak. Where there is a shortage of water and where the disease is spreading. In this way the farmer can make timely decisions.
For example many farmers in countries like India and China are now using drone technology. Drones can inspect the entire field in a few minutes. While a human has to spend several hours doing the same job. There are also some farms in the US where automated tractors work without a driver. All these are examples of precision agriculture.
This system can also be very beneficial for an agricultural country like Pakistan. Water scarcity is becoming a major problem in our country. If farmers use modern irrigation systems and sensors water wastage can be reduced to a great extent. Drip irrigation and smart water systems can be very useful in particular. Similarly diseases can be identified early in cotton wheat rice and vegetable crops with modern monitoring systems. This will reduce crop losses and the farmer will get better profits.
Precision agriculture is not limited to big machines. But mobile apps have also become a part of it. Nowadays there are some apps that provide information about weather rainfall soil moisture and crop condition. The farmer can make better decisions with the help of this information. For example if the app predicts rainfall the farmer can plan in advance when to water or when to apply fertilizer.
Although precision agriculture has numerous advantages. It also has some challenges. The biggest problem is the high cost of modern machinery and equipment. Not every farmer can afford to buy expensive drones sensors or GPS systems. This can be difficult especially for small farmers.
In addition many farmers in rural areas are not familiar with the use of modern technology. Some people are afraid to adopt new things. Because they think they are too complicated. That is why it is important for the government and agricultural institutions. To provide training to farmers and provide them with easy loans and facilities.
In my opinion if the government subsidizes farmers on modern machinery and starts training programs. There can be a big change in Pakistan's agriculture. The young generation is also interested in modern technology. So if they get modern opportunities in the agricultural sector. They can move forward in this field. Precision agriculture is also beneficial for the environment. Since it uses only fertilizers water and sprays as needed the land water and air are less polluted. This preserves natural resources and improves the environment.
Today the world is developing rapidly and every sector is modernizing. Agriculture is also now moving away from the traditional way and towards smart systems. In the coming time only those countries will be successful that adopt modern agricultural technology.
Finally I would like to say that precision agriculture is a great invention. Of the modern era that is making agriculture more organized easy and profitable. It not only reduces the farmer's labor. But also improves both the yield and quality of the crop. If we use modern technology properly then food shortage water wastage. And agricultural problems can be overcome to a great extent in the future. We should adopt this modern system of agriculture. And play a role in the development of our country.
Here is my post for today. Which I have shared with all my friends. See you in the next post.
Thank you for being with me.

I had heard about drones being used in farming, but I didn't know there were so many other technologies involved as well. Your post was both informative and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing. 😊🌾
Thank you so much for your kind words 😊🌾
I am glad that you found the post informative and helpful. Indeed nowadays in agriculture along with drones. Many new technologies are helping farmers making farming easier and more efficient. Your encouragement means a lot to me.

¡Holaaa amiga!🤗
Thank you so much ma'am for your support 💕.
Have a very very happy day @suboohi ma'am 💖 😊.
