SLC-S31/W1-“Creative Interpretation| The Word (Invisible)”
There's a girl called Mary. In thier street, nobody really notice her. She don't just talk much, she'll just be doing things quietly and finding a corner to sit alone especially while rain is falling. Even at the school, teachers hardly call her name, and her classmates forget that she's in the class because she is always quiet and all alone in the corner of the classroom. Even outside classroom, she will find a corner to sit down, and people will be passing her like breeze.
But inside Mary's heart, there's a lot of things going on there. She keeps imagining a better life ahead. She knows how to write little stories inside his exercise book. One day, thier teacher tell everybody to write about “dream.” Others write about cars, money, and big house. Mary write about one small seed which grows into a big tree, giving shade to people that are tired to rest under.
After the teacher read it out, people begin to look Mary differently. That very day, she realize that even if she wasn't visible before, her mind and her words can make her visible. She has a voice, and a dream that can make her visible.
Explain what “invisible” represents in your interpretation. |
|---|
However for me, “invisible” means when a person is around but nobody notice him or her. Sometimes it will be painful, because you will feel lonely. But sometimes, invisible can mean strength which is hidden inside. Like love, fear, hope — all of them don't have face, but they control how we live.
Let's say in Mary's story, invisible mean being ignored, but it also mean carrying something powerful inside which people never seen yet or before. Ann invisible student who never speaks in class may secretly write a poems or story which can inspire others.
Describe the emotion connected to your piece. |
|---|
The emotion here is loneliness mixed with a little hope. Same as Mary which feels like nobody sees her, we might also feel the same and this emotion is really painful. But when she wrote, people finally understand what was in her heart. That small hope was turn to light. Many of us knows this feeling — sometimes we are invisible, but deep inside, we have something we can shine if we show it out.
If your interpretation had a color or sound, what would it be and why? |
|---|
Color
Picture shoot on my phone |
|---|
For me the color will be Blue. Blue do remind me of sadness, like when rain fall and everywhere is quiet. And blue also can remind a person of the sky, open and wide, full of chance and hope especially after the rainfall. So invisible carry both sadness and hope. That is why blue can represent it very well.
Sound
I'll choose the sound to be soft talking drum beat. We all know how drum can be loud, but when you play it very gentle, the sound on our ears can move our heart to dance even leading us to move our body to the rhythm. Thats how invisible is — quiet, gentle but still speak and take actions. The drum carry sadness because of the color and how it was designed, but it can also carry beauty and enjoyment when people finally hear it.
My Reflection About Invisible |
|---|
Mary story shows that even if people don't notice you, your dream and your talent can be real. Once you find your way to express it, you will turn invisible into visible. Thats the lesson for all of us: let's not look only with eye, let see with heart through active, words and dreams. Because the strongest things in life can hide, but they are powerful than what we can touch.
Invisible don't just mean that a person is not seen. It also mean that there are many things which can control life but don't have a face. Love don't have face or body, but it's strong when in action. Fear don't have shape, but it can push us. Hope is not visible, but it can carry us forward.
