My Neighborhood Watch #140 - Reporting Events Around us

My name is @dhizy from Nigeria, I am here to talk about the activities in my neighborhood. Life events happening in my neighbourhood is a daily activity that brings us together and shapes me and my community together. These events may be social, cultural, religious or economic, and they help me interact, support one another and maintain peace within the area.

One common activity in my neighborhood was the gathering we went out to pelly gate hotel for swimming yesterday, the events was nice because we were just feeling lonely and bored so we just said we should go out to the swimming pool so that we can go out and mingle with people to avoid being bored at home.

During the occasion, I saw most of my friends that came out from their different homes to join my neighbourhood to swim. At this occasion we shared food and drink to chill ourselves after we had finished swimming and strengthen our relationship. Another event and activities that happened is after the event in the swimming pool we went out to shopping to buy small food to eat tonight.

Market and business activities also occur frequently, local shop roadside vendors and small markets allow residents to buy and sell goods. These activities also occur frequently in my neighborhood help people earn a living and make the neighborhood economically active. In addition, there are community development activities my neighbours sometimes come together for sanitation every last Saturday of the month.

Exercise, security, meeting, or community projects such as cleaning gutters or maintaining shared space. These efforts help the environment clean and safe and any neighbourhood who fails to come out will pay a penalty for refusing to come out to clean the environment.

Also the activities that happened to my neighborhood is that every first day of the month we normally go to the village square for prayers and fasting thanking God for a new month. After the village head will pray last and handover the village to God's hands. After there will be drinks and food for entrainment for the people around the neighborhood that came out.

Finally, recreational and youth activities take place in many neighbourhood. Children play games after school, while youths may organise football matches, music event or talents show like I was chosen to perform on a show last week Friday at one event. Such activities promote friendship, relaxation and unity among residents.

In conclusion, life events and activities in a neighborhood are essential because they encourage cooperation, build strong relationships, and create a sense of belonging among community members. We should learn how to socialise with people in the society and learn how to create time for each other because it brings unity among us.
