The Diary Game: Preparing Achi Soup For The First Time
Hi, Welcome to another diary session with me.
I woke up this morning thinking of what to prepare, this is one of the most difficult question almost every Nigerian faces. I looked at my cupboard, I saw Rice and palm oil, I said ok let me prepare concoction rice for the kids before brainstorming bagain.
I measured some few cups of rice, washed the rice thoroughly and placed it on fire. Before long, concoction rice was ready.
I only had little money on me and I had to prepare something affordable and took take a lot of time and it should be able to reach everyone at home. My friend suggested achi, I told her that I don't know how to prepare it and she promised to teach me.
We step out to buy the needed ingredients from the local market, we finally all we needed though price was bit high with the fish. We got home, I went to my backward to get some bitterleaves. I squeezed and washed them after that I chopped the onions.
I used hand blender to blend the pepper, the pepper were so hot that my hands started reacting to it. We started cooking and followed every instruction that she gave me.
When it was time to add the achi, I added little water to it to form a paste and added it to the soup. After a while everything was ready.
It was my first time of making this dish though it didn't come great but it wasn't bad for a starter. how did the soup/dish you made for the first time go?, I would love to read your experiences. Thank you for reading with me. Till we read again, stay safe.
