SLC-S31W6 | Cottage craft shop
Hello Dear friends,
Today I appeared at the Handicraft market located next to Doel Chattar, a traditional place in the capital, Dhaka. The shop I visited here is Bangla Handi Crafts. Bangla Handi Crafts has a wonderful combination of new handicrafts. Today I will visit the Bangla Handi Crafts shop and set the pin on the steem-atlas map.

The Doel Chattar area is a heritage place. The doel bird is our national bird, so there is a square here. Next to Doel Chattar, there is Shilpa Academy, which is part of our culture. Also, there are famous institutions like the High Court, Bangla Academy, Shaheed Minar, Shrine of three historical leaders, and Dhaka University. The famous places of the country are like a meeting place around the Bangla Handi Crafts shop.

Different types of items in a handicraft shop
The Bangla Handi Crafts shop located here represents the local culture. Every item in the area is a part of our culture. If you want to know the country and the culture of the country, and if you want to understand their emotions, it can be achieved here. Although not everything of the country's culture can be kept, the form of culture can be felt here.

The area of Doel Chatwar is also very important, due to the presence of many important buildings, and there is always a lot of traffic here. Besides, Bangla Handi Craft has been doing business here for a long time. Everyone remembers the name of Bangla Handi Craft located here when they need any item of native culture to decorate their home.
The owner of Bangla Handicraft, Mr. Md Monir, has been running the business here for a long time. The shop is located next to the mine road. There is a wide footpath in front of the shop. Bangla Handicraft is next to the footpath. When you enter Bangla Handi Craft, you can see that the shop is decorated with all the wonderful items.

Bengali traditional women's bangles
Hundreds of native culture images can be seen here; you have to be confused about which one to keep and which one to see. There are Polo and Dula. These villages are a part of the tradition of Bengal. The village people use polo to eat small chickens and ducks. This polo was once seen in every house in the village.
Dula is a place to keep after catching fish. It plays a very important role for those who catch fish in different places. It is also important for the tribals. Because they carry various things with it during their farming and also during harvesting, crops are harvested through the doula.

Once upon a time in ancient Bengal, a special type of instrument was used to taste tobacco. Landlords or noble families used to take tobacco with this instrument, sitting comfortably. The name of the instrument is called lead in the local language. Whatever the name is, when I think of it, I feel like I have gone to ancient times. And that ancient lead is adorning Bangla Handicraft.

Times have changed, villages are no longer villages, and village houses are no longer found. But there was a time when houses were our only shelter. Over time, buildings took the place of houses. But this is our tradition. It is kept here to share that tradition with everyone.

At one time, to increase the beauty of the house, glass bottles were decorated with colors and tied with rice with twine. The one who presented it as beautifully as it was thought to be noble. Now they are not used to decorate the house, but we need to know the history; this item has been kept because of the desire to know.

Dhaka city is called the city of rickshaws. No matter how many rickshaws there are, rickshaws are part of our culture. The important element of culture is beautifully arranged here to help us enhance the beauty of our home.

The current generation probably does not know what a palanquin is. But there was a time when a palanquin was the main means of transport. And marriage without a palanquin was unthinkable. In addition, if women had to go out of the house, they would not go out without the help of Palki. Not only that, the women of the noble family used to ride palanquins to the river to bathe.

The extinct palanquin is part of our heritage
The post office is now on the verge of extinction, but once, the post office was the only means of communication between the people of one area and the people of another area through letters. Like a crow on a pilgrimage, one used to wait for a letter from the postal department. How many mothers used to wait for their child's letter? Foreign urgent documents, court correspondence, and maintaining family bonds all depended on the postal department. In some places, the postal department used to keep similar post boxes on the side of the road and put our necessary letters in these boxes. The dummy of the post office is nicely made to introduce everyone to that important item.

Another vanished tradition is the post office

In addition to the local culture, there are various types of internationally recognized portraits. For example, there are examples of world-famous towers like the Eiffel Tower, samples of the spherical earth, etc.
There is not an inch of empty space inside and outside the Bangla Handicraft shop, and there are several times more in the godown above. The shop is also decorated very beautifully, which creates peace in the mind when you see it. Every handicraft shines in the light of beautiful, bright lighting.
All in all, Bangla Handi Craft has become an important place to get all the items of the native culture.
