Where is it located and how to get here?
I visited a handmade clay products shop located in the Old Market area of Parbatipur. The shop has many kinds of clay items that are fully handmade. The products are very beautiful and made with care by hand. To go to this shop, you need to come to the Old Market in Parbatipur town. From the railway station, you can reach the market by paying only 10 taka fare. The shop is well known in the area, so if you ask anyone about the clay products shop, they can easily show you the location.

I have noticed this shop for many years, and it has been located here for around 10–12 years. Near this shop, many people from the local community live and make handmade clay products to sell. The owner of the shop is Chandan Kumar Das. There are no special contact systems for the shop, but people can contact the owner by mobile phone before visiting.

They make many kinds of clay pots and handmade clay items that we use for different daily purposes. Almost every type of clay product can be found here, from cooking pots for home use to many other useful household items. The products are mainly made by all the family members together, and these handmade items show their traditional artistic skills and hard work.

What are the facilities like? For example, electricity, Security, etc.
Because these shops are small in size, there is enough natural light and air inside the shops. However, modern security systems and customer facilities are not available here because the shop owners are from poor families. They earn their livelihood by making and selling these handmade clay products.

This shop has many kinds of clay made items such as pots, pans, plates, bowls, water pots, glasses, grinding stones, money banks, and many other useful products. The prices of these items are very low and affordable. Most products cost between 20 to 50 taka, while some larger or special items may cost around 100 to 200 taka. Different types of toys for small children are also available in this shop. I have discussed the prices of these items below.

Cash money is mainly used for shopping in this shop because digital payment systems are not fully available here yet. I bought the products by paying cash, and most other customers also use cash for shopping. However, if someone does not have cash, they can also make payments through mobile banking services.

After visiting this shop, I noticed some clay money banks that I liked very much. Seeing these reminded me of my childhood because we used to buy these kinds of banks to save money when we were young. That memory made me happy, so I bought one for myself to keep money in.

From my visiting experience, I can say that this is a very good shop. The behavior of the shop owner was friendly and polite. Different types of clay products are available here at low prices, and many of these items are not easily found in other shops. The shop is also clean and well organized. The quality of the products is very good, which is why many customers come here to buy different kinds of clay items.
