The Real Video Vlogging Adventure Challenge: E2

Monsoon is a breath of relief for me. When the monotony of the mechanical city becomes unbearable, I want to run away again and again to nature. For example, last week, to rediscover myself and enjoy the true nature of the monsoon, I took my whole family to one of the most viral and beautiful tourist attractions in Tangail—Basulia Chapra Bill. We, along with my family, gave this wonderful tour together with about 10 people. Today, in this beautiful arrangement of Steemit Challenge Season 33, I am sharing the real story and feelings of my trip with you.

I think this place is no less than magic for those who forget the mechanical and seek true rural peace with their whole family. I hope you can feel my fascination literally while watching the video vlog.

1. Why did you choose this place for your video vlog, and what makes it special or unique?

---

In my opinion, Basulia Chapra Bill is not just an ordinary water body; it is an absolute wonder of nature. I especially chose this place for my video vlog because, when the water of the beel is filled to the brim during the monsoon, it is a sight to behold.

What seemed most special and unique to me was the beautiful silvery stream of water flowing through it, the group of ancient Hijal trees standing on the water right in the middle of the beel and the lonely huge electric tower standing on the distant horizon. We actually reached there a little late, in the late afternoon (around 5 pm), when the Maghrib call to prayer was being given around 7 pm. Such a magical combination of that soft light of the late afternoon and the vast body of water is not usually seen everywhere. This unique natural form attracted me intensely, and I felt that there could not be a more beautiful place for vlogging.

2. What are the main attractions, activities, or historical and cultural features of this location?

---

The main attraction of Basulia Chapra Bill is its vast expanse of water, large Hijal forests, and traditional colorful boats painted on the bank of the beel. These Hijal trees are of immense importance in terms of culture and tradition. I heard from local elders that the estimated age of these trees is about 100 to 150 years! Can you imagine? These ancient trees have naturally preserved the beauty of the Bill.

The main activities here include cruising around the bank of the beel in a trawler or boat. There are many small, large and medium-sized boats here. We rented a boat for 300 taka for an hour (although the boatman initially wanted 500 taka, so it is better to bargain a little). Apart from roaming, another fun activity is to go around in small dinghies selling chips, soft drinks and snacks and eating hot fuchka sitting on a boat in the middle of the beel. For many locals, it is a means of livelihood, which has made the culture of this area more vibrant.

3. What was your personal experience while visiting this place, and what did you enjoy the most?

---

Talking about personal experiences, our team members were excited to try to get on the boat. When the boat set off, the cool water of the river and the forest filled my mind. However, the most exciting and thrilling experience of my trip was going to the Hijal Forest part. There, the slopes of the Hijal trees are leaning towards the water. When I went there, I saw that a thick Hijal tree could not be climbed anymore. Later, the rest of his team helped him get down! The ghost of climbing the tree also struck my mind. That's what I said. I also fell on the tree, and my friend Muzzal, whom I met, also got stuck in the tree's trunk. We personally took several pictures on the steep top of the tree. I felt that the view from the tree's peak was different!

The biggest city was a shocking moment. We were on the boat when heavy clouds started pouring down rain in the big sky. Where we anchored the boat made of Hijal trees, many more of their colorful boats took shelter from the rain. Peace and joy; we bathed in the water of the Bill as we fell. We tied the boat to a Hijal tree until we reached the veranda and stopped. I liked this rain-soaked and joyful image the most.

4. What advice or tips would you give to visitors who plan to visit this place in the future?

---

• My travel expenses and route: I originally went to this place from the Nalua area of ​​Sakhipur Road. For the convenience of travel, we reserved an auto (for the family), and our total travel expenses for going there and back were 600 taka. Those who will come from Dhaka can easily get down at Nalua on Sakhipur Road via Gorhai Bus Stand in Mirzapur Upazila. Or you can easily come from Tangail City or Basail Bazar by CNG or auto.

• Parking and boat rental: For those who will bring their own bikes, there is a very nice motorcycle parking facility here; the parking fee is only 30 taka. And while taking the boat, bargain a little with the boatmen; the fare may be a little higher or lower during holidays.

• Food and Preparation: Before boarding the trawler or boat on Chapra Beel, you can buy some dry food or snacks like we did, which will double the pleasure of eating and drinking while wandering around the middle of the bill.

• Protecting nature and Hijal trees: The most important advice is that due to our joy, these ancient Hijal trees should not be damaged, no branches should be broken. If we destroy this natural resource, our next generation will not be able to see this beauty anymore. So, no harm can be done to nature by coming to Basulia Bill.
