Life Insurance
Life passed by so quickly. He realized that he is almost fifty years old now. Taking care of his family is the main priority now. That is when he realized that it is important to take life insurance.
It never occurred to him before that at a certain point, his life would be calculated. That his time will not be measured in the joys of the moment or, pursuing goals and dreams. But, as a mathematical calculation. Something that is would rather make more sense being written down on a piece of paper, than lived as a story. It is not a journey to him anymore. But, the harsh reality questioning meaning at a time that he could not handle all the responsibility.
He knew that he had to make the decision of securing a future for his kids. Time is running out. He knew that a policy number, would be beneficial to them, even if it means that he is currently calculating his time left. He was shocked after taking that decision! He did not know that his need to continuously visit the doctor's office for checkup would be the reason for a rejection. He tried multiple vendors with no luck. Till he started to think of alternative. Nothing came to mind. But, a small monthly saving was his last resort. At least, it is something that partially gave him peace.
It's sad to think that someone's death could be a kind of bet and be worth something, but practically speaking, it's something we should start using as a tool, but as we know, the less time we have left to live, the less we're worth to insurance.
It is indeed. Especially, when realized that one might start seeing themselves from that perspective.
