The Diary Game. How I spent my birthday. 19-04-2026.

I hope you are well and I hope you enjoy what I am going to tell you.
Today is my birthday and I want to share with you how I spent this very special day went. Turning a year older in your 20s feels different. You begin to appreciate the little things more and today was a perfect reminder of that.

Very early in the morning I woke up feeling the excitement of a new year of life. Before anything else I did my house chores making sure everything was in order before stepping out. There is something about starting your birthday with responsibility that feels grounding. After finishing up I headed out ready to take on the day.

I am currently doing my Industrial Training at Ekpeneukim in Uyo As a university student you are entitle to go for IT. If you are doing a four year program you will do it in third year if five year program it will be in your fourth year mine is fourth year since I'm doing five course, So after Ibiaku U-turn, and today marks my 5th day on site. Even on my birthday, there was work to be done and I was not going to let that stop me. I made my way to Customs a place along Oron Road where I linked up with my good friend @us-andrew. It is always better going to site with good company the journey feels shorter and the work feels lighter.

I and @us-andrew reached the site by 7:00am and started the work by 8:00We arrived at the construction site by 7:30 am and began work by 8:00 am. No time to waste

Our task for the day was marking the plastered walls to show exactly where the sockets and switches would be located before we start piping. We also carried out underground piping work.

To get the precise position of each socket we used a plumb line and measured carefully from the ground up the wall 553mm marking each spot with accuracy. The same process was repeated for the switch locations. It sounds simple but it requires a steady hand focus and a good understanding of electrical installation standards.

It was hands on detailed work that required patience and precision. Days like this remind me how much practical skill goes into electrical installations that most people never think about. Every socket you plug into, every switch you flip someone measured and marked that spot carefully. Today that someone was me

We took a break had lunch and rested a bit. We were 10 in number working side by side each person. There is something beautiful about teamwork on a construction site the noise the energy and everything.

By the end of the day we had finished everything and we were dropped by our boss along side with. I thought to myself not a bad way to spend a birthday.

After eating I started to feel the tiredness of the day catch up with me. But before I could fully relax the best surprise of the day came my senior sister gifted me a brand new phone I could not believe it And my dad gave me a drink to celebrate which made the evening even sweeter. Family truly is everything.

I. used the opportunity to use my new phone took some time to go through my WhatsApp and reply to all the birthday messages from friends and loved ones. Every message warmed my heart. I was really happy to know that people who care enough you remember you on your special day. After answering everyone I finished everything up and went off to sleep my heart full and grateful.

What a beautiful birthday it was not flashy not extravagant but full of hard work family love and genuine happiness. I would not trade it for anything. Here is to a new year of life, growth and blessings! 🙏🎂
