My Weekly Food Highlight, Take a look.

I hope you all are healthy and happy. Today I am going to share my food diary of this week with you all. First of all I would like to thank @ngoenyi for organizing this contest. I loved this challenge because it gives us an opportunity to share the food we eat at home, our family favorites and our little joys. In our house, food is not only prepared to satisfy hunger but is also a means of making the family sit together and feel love and belongingness.
I ate a lot of delicious meals this week, but as a rule, I'm sharing my 4 special meals of the week. There were different reasons behind choosing all these foods, such as family preference, desire to have children, season, ingredients available at home and economic balance. I try to make home-made food tasty, nutritious and inexpensive so that the entire family can eat it happily. Every morning starts with tea in our house. After that, sometimes something light and tasty is made as per the choice of the children, and sometimes something special is made as per the wish of the family. This week I enjoyed delicious masala macaroni, homemade buns, biryani and mango and grape shake. Let me tell you all about my week's meals in detail.
I started this week with delicious Masala Macaroni.In the evening,the children wanted to eat something different and I was also thinking about what to make that would be ready quickly and would be liked by everyone.Then I decided to make masala macaroni with the ingredients available at home. While the macaroni was being made, its aroma spread throughout the house and the children kept coming to the kitchen asking when the food would be ready.I feel very happy seeing the happiness of children.When they eat food with relish, my hard work seems successful.
Name of food:- Masala Macaroni
Main Ingredients:-Macaroni, onion, tomato, green chilli, oil, salt, turmeric, red chilli, coriander and some spices.
Method of preparation:-First of all, I boiled water, added macaroni to it and cooked it until it became soft. On the other hand, heat oil in a pan and add onion and tomatoes. After that add spices and fry well. Then add boiled macaroni to the spices and mix well.
Why was this food chosen?
- Children love macaroni and it is also easy to make. Instead of buying fast food from outside, it is better to cook it at home because it is cheaper and also cleaner. Family preference and children's happiness were the biggest reasons for choosing this food.
- This week I ate a delicious bun omelette. It tasted very tasty and was prepared quickly. In our place, omelette is sometimes made for morning breakfast or in case of light hunger in the evening. Both children and adults like its taste. It tastes even better with hot tea.
Name of food:-bun omelette
Main Ingredients:-Bun (bread), egg, onion, green chilli, salt, spices and oil/butter.
Method of preparation:-First of all, the egg was broken in a vessel and finely chopped onion, green chilli, salt and some spices were added to it. Then omelette was prepared by pouring oil on the pan. After that, the bun was lightly roasted and an omelette was placed in the middle.
How eaten:-It was eaten with tea in the evening.
Why was this food chosen?
- This is a quick and tasty meal. When there is less time at home and you feel like eating something good, then omelette becomes a good option. It is not very expensive and the family also likes it. Both children and adults like its taste, that is why it was chosen.
- This week I ate delicious Singapore rice. It tasted very tasty and spicy. Its special thing is that chicken, egg and different vegetables are mixed with rice, which makes it taste even better. In our house, whenever we feel like eating something different and special, such delicious food is prepared.While it was being prepared, its fragrance spread throughout the house and everyone was waiting to eat. I also like this food because it tastes of many things together.
Name of food:-Singapore Rice
Main Ingredients:-Rice, chicken, egg, onion, tomato, green chilli, cabbage, carrot, capsicum, spices and oil.
Method of preparation:-First of all the rice was boiled and kept aside. The chicken was then cooked with spices. After this, a mixture like scrambled eggs was prepared. After lightly cooking the vegetables, all these things were mixed with rice and cooked well with spices.
How eaten:-It was eaten with the family during lunch or dinner.
Why was this food chosen?
- Everyone at home wanted to eat something different and tasty, so Singapore Rice was made. Since it contains chicken, egg and vegetables, it is delicious and also a filling meal. Instead of eating out, cooking food at home seemed better and more e
On Saturday afternoon we ordered a delicious Gujarati thali from outside. Sometimes, when there is too much household work or there is a desire to eat something different, food is ordered from outside. The food of this day was very tasty and filling. Many types of dishes are found together in Gujarati thali, hence the taste of food increases even more. This thali included dal, rice, potato curry, kathol, chapati and onion salad. Eating onion along with it further enhanced the taste of the food. I like the best thing about Gujarati thali that it combines many tastes and fills the stomach well.
When the food came home, we all sat together with the family and enjoyed it. Despite ordering it from outside, the food tasted delicious and fresh. Sometimes, one can get some rest in between the household chores and the taste will change, that is why such food tastes good.
Name of food:-Gujarati Thali
Main Ingredients:-Dal, rice, potato curry, kathol, chapatti, onion and onion salad.
How eaten:-It was eaten with the whole family during Saturday lunch.
Why was this food chosen?
- On Saturday, I wanted to take some rest and had more household chores, so Gujarati thali was ordered from outside. This food was chosen according to the family's preferences because it combines many flavors together. It was also a filling and economical meal.
- My food diary this week was full of taste, family and small joys. I enjoyed different tasting food like Masala Macaroni, Tasty Bun Omelette, Singapore Rice and Gujarati Thali. There was some reason behind every meal, such as childrens preferences, family wishes, ingredients available at home, convenience of time and sometimes the desire to change the taste. I feel happiest when the whole family sits together and eats food with love. I believe that home-made food is not just for filling the stomach but it also includes the love, affection and happiness of the family. Through this food diary, I got the opportunity to share the delicious food of my week and I hope you will like my presentation. Thank you.
