EARLY PREPARATION GIVES CONFIDENCE: A LESSON FROM MY FRIEND'S FATHER BURIAL

Greetings to you all. Let's use this medium to share my lesson during my friend's father's burial preparation. The king died in December last year. Because I am close to the family, I knew that after a week, they had made their budget for the funeral considering the position of their father (Okuku).

The basic things needed were paid for, casket paid, band, and brass booked as early as January, while the burial was fixed for 18th April, 2026. The consultations were concluded between January and February.

	Cleaning the Compound on time

When I got to the compound on Tuesday, I saw the rooms stocked up, outside, there were 3 cows and about goats scattered around the compound.

Immediately, the mourning house was opened, and people started going into the compound, cooking services provided by 8 different caterers. Everything anyone needed was provided.

Decorations done a week ago

I was there with them throughout Tuesday, and I witnessed the level of preparation. Grave was ready before then, program payments in every aspect to facilitate the burial was paid for. learn that it is not about having money but a “a stitch in time saves nine”. This is an adage to remind us how to work with the ticking of the clock.

How did you have your event or anything? Procrastination is an enemy of time. One thing to note is that time will never wait for us. Time is money, but time does not wait for money. It is your money, your preparation, and your target that will help everything to work for us in record time.

I use this burial preparation to teach myself a big lesson that every event must have a serious level of preparedness, target, and making conscious efforts to meet such targets.

I will encourage all Steemians, never delay executing your plans. If you're made a chairman to plan an event, take it upon your shoulders to succeed. Make payments where necessary, consult on time, don't give your guests a one week invitation because they do not belong to you alone and you're not in their pockets and schedules.
