Trust in the midst of friendship

Trust is one of the most important values and morals that we need to have in life and we all deserve it too.

Let's say me and Jerry have been friends for eight years now, and we have been freely sharing everything with each other; from secrets and challenges, fun time and other moments. We value each other and never have trust issues except misunderstandings. You can tell that we trust each other.

In this interesting topic contest by @shahidalinaz We will look at 3 important aspects and fact about trust.

Firstly;

Trust as a foundation of relationship

How do a relationship start? Most times it just begin with "Hello" or Hi." With time, it turns into hours of chatting, during leisure time like phone calls or chats, sit-outs and other recreational activities.

During the process of knowing each other through these physical activities, there's something built and that thing is called a relationship. For that relationship to grow and stay firm for many years, trust needs to be born. If there's no trust, for me I would say that kind of relationship is void and not serious. Every relationship needs trust to complete it.

To grand it all, trust is the foundation that makes a relationship healthy and memorable. That brings happiness, and creates a very reliable and strong foundation to build years of happiness and satisfaction together as friends.

Outing and activities helps know people better, contributing to building trust

Trust is built with honesty and consistency

When trust is born, a relationship should be careful to develop honesty in everything and be consistent in their doings. Because the opposite of this is always bad, which is "to break a trust"

Trust can be built and maintained for years but if not careful it can be broken and it hurts. To regain the trust could be very hard to achieve. That's a very good reason why in a relationship, trust should be built in honesty and consistently kept. We must also fight against challenges that may likely lead to broken trust.

For example: If my friend Jerry borrows money from me and always pays back on time, it will be easy to lend him money another time. That's how my trust in him becomes strong. But if he suddenly comes with excuses and lying about why he can't pay, doubt will set in, and trust becomes weak. Do you see how honesty is reflected in this scenario? Honesty in words and consistency in action makes trust stronger.

Trust brings peace and progress

When there's trust, automatically they'll be peace. Peace brings about togetherness and this helps a relationship grow and make progress.

How trust brings about peace:

A peaceful relationship gives room to freely share your challenges, ideas and support each other without fear and also, no chance to be judged or probably betrayal. When there's peace, it comes with positivity and strength. This is what one needs to carry on as a team without fear or doubt of being disappointed.

How trust brings progress:

Progress comes when there's trust. With trust, goals are achieved together. Also, there's corporation, growth and development. That is how trust brings progress in any relationship, whether in friendship, families and community.

We have seen that trust is the foundation of any relationship, with honesty and consistency it brings happiness and satisfaction. Trust also promote peace and progress.

Though we live in a world that is hard to trust someone, we should be comfortable to trust people in some aspect of our lives. And also, we should live a life that makes us trustworthy. It will be easy to do this if we truly believe that peace and progress are products of trust. After all, there is no one who doesn't love peace or who does not want to grow.
