The Diary Game: My Saturday (18/4/2026)
Hi Steemians!! 🌼
How is everything going at your end? Happy weekend to you and your loved ones! I truly hope you’re enjoying some well-deserved rest after the hustle and bustle of the week. Weekends always feel like a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and just be.
My week was… well, not the absolute best, but definitely not bad either and for that, I’m sincerely grateful. Sometimes, it’s not about everything going perfectly, but about finding little pockets of peace and joy in between the chaos.
My day started on a calm and reflective note with morning prayers. There’s just something about starting the day in God’s presence that brings a kind of peace you can’t quite explain. After that, I stepped out to our little garden at the back of the house, and honestly, it felt like walking into a mini paradise.

My mum has been doing such an amazing job there, nurturing the plants with so much care and consistency. Seeing how green, fresh, and alive everything looked filled me with so much pride and happiness. It’s beautiful to witness how something so small can grow into something so vibrant with love and patience.
After soaking in that refreshing moment, I went back inside and handled a few chores nothing too heavy, just the usual tidying up. Soon enough, my stomach reminded me it was time to eat, so I quickly made myself a simple breakfast.

After eating, I decided to relax a bit with the TV, and before I knew it, sleep was gently creeping in… you know that sweet kind of dozing off where your eyes are half-open?
Just as I was about to surrender to that nap, my phone rang it was my designer telling me my clothes were ready! Instantly, sleep disappeared. I got dressed quickly and headed over to her place. When I got there, we spent some time chatting and catching up before I tried on the outfit. And I must say, it fit really nicely! That feeling when your clothes come out just right?

After that little outing, I headed back home and went straight into the kitchen to prepare lunch. I made beans and plantain a simple but satisfying meal and my son absolutely loved it, which made me even happier. There’s something so fulfilling about cooking and seeing your loved ones enjoy the food.
Later in the evening, I got ready for rehearsals in preparation for tomorrow’s service. And wow, it turned out to be such an uplifting session! We explored both classical and contemporary songs, and it wasn’t just about singing we danced, laughed, and truly enjoyed ourselves. It felt less like practice and more like a joyful gathering.

By the time rehearsals ended, the evening had settled into a calm, beautiful atmosphere. I got home feeling pleasantly exhausted. After freshening up, I didn’t even have the strength for anything else I just laid quietly on my bed, reflecting on the day and letting my body rest.
It wasn’t a perfect day, but it was full in its own way simple moments, small joys, and quiet gratitude. And honestly, sometimes that’s more than enough. 💛
